Troubleshooting - Lost/Missing cat

Sometimes KittyCatS can go missing in Second Life. This can be for a variety of reasons.

  • Perhaps the cat went off-sim or off-parcel and was lost due to parcel auto-return.
  • Perhaps the cat was lost due to inventory asset issues.
  • Maybe you tried to rez the cat and it vanished upon rezzing.

It's possible that the cat is not actually gone. There are a few things you can do first to look for your cat.

  • Check your inventory to see if the cat is there. You can search your inventory using the term "kittycats" to find all products and cats made by our company.
    • In particular, check your Lost and Found, Objects, and Trash folders.
  • You can also check around your sim. If you have the KittyCatS HUD, it will detect your cat if it is on your sim.
  • If you don't have the HUD, and you have a viewer that supports the feature Area Search, you can use Area Search to search for your cat.
    • Area Search has a limited range and is only available on certain viewers, like the Firestorm viewer.

Regardless of the reason the cat went missing, you can file a ticket with KittyCatS Support to have your cat retrieved for you: http://kittycats.ws/support

You'll need your cat's ID# for the ticket. To find the ID#, go to your Pedigree page here: http://kittycats.ws/pedigree/

Find the affected Cat or Box and click them to bring up their Info page, then copy the ID# on the Info page and paste it into your ticket.

If you have multiple cat ID#'s, DO NOT submit multiple tickets! Put all of the ID#'s into the message area of the ticket.
