KittyCatS Community Christmas Tree

Greetings all! As we announced previously, we’ve decided to take a break from doing the Advent Calendar this year. Instead, we thought it would be nice to do something a little different, that involves the entire KittyCatS Community.

It’s no secret that we think our KittyCatS Community is the best! The KittyCatS community includes some of the kindest, most generous, and most creative people in SL. Throughout the year we get many requests and offers from community members to help us with ideas or events. We’ve seen how many of you will often create free gifts to give away at your CatShow and Decoration Contest displays, and how quickly you will jump in when someone in chat asks for help or advice.

So this year, instead of an Advent Calendar, we’ve decided to do the KittyCatS Community Christmas Tree. This giant tree will be available at our Winter Wonderland Sim beginning December 15, and EVERYONE in the community is invited to join in the holiday spirit and come add their own gifts under the tree!

Your gift can be ANYTHING you want! Write a poem or a story about your KittyCatS! Take a neat picture and frame it! Make some furniture, or clothing, or a gag gift – whatever you want! EVERYONE is invited to take part in this event and provide a free gift to the community!

To participate you just need to do the following:

* Contact Kitten Longmeadow via a notecard titled “KittyCatS Community Christmas Tree” with your avatar name.
* Accept a group invite to our “KittyCatS & Friends Events Group”.

Group invites will be sent out beginning Dec. 14 and the tree is available beginning Dec. 15.

Once in the group, you can rez your gift set to sale for 0L$ under the tree. Make sure it has the permissions you want! And if you need packaging, we have some free full perm gift boxes available for you in our store lobby!

The KittyCatS Community Christmas Tree will be available from December 15 until January 8. Be sure to visit it daily to see what new gifts have appeared under the tree! We can’t wait to see what everyone creates!

KittyCatS at RFL Christmas Expo!

Greetings all! KittyCatS is a sponsor of the RFL Christmas Expo, and we have two items available there, as well as an OOAK KittyCat in the silent auction!

First we have our LE RFL “Toyger Angel” Decor KittyCat statue*. This is only available for the RFL Christmas Expo, and it features a removable bulb and wings. The cost for the decor cat is 250L$ and all proceeds go to RFL.

Next we have a cute mini-version of the Toyger Angel* that can be worn as a shoulder pet! This shoulder pet is part of the RFL Christmas Expo Stocking Stuffer Hunt and will cost 20L$ with all proceeds going to RFL. Look for the green stocking in our displays to get it!

The decor statue and shoulder pet are available at both of our expo display locations.

Finally we have a special OOAK KittyCat available in the RFL Christmas Expo Silent Auction. Our offering is a perma-petted giant-sized (400cm) CookieCat – “Tasty” from our 2012 Winter Collection. This is a more than twice the size of a normal MegaPuss KittyCat!

All proceeds from this auction go to benefit RFL. The silent auction for this OOAK KittyCat will end on December 10 at 10AM SLT, so be sure to get your bids in while you can!

KittCatS! Halloween Custom Collar Contest – results!

What a fun contest! We loved seeing all of the collars showing off everyone’s creativity! Between the panel votes and the public vote, it was hard determining the winners but in the end a decision was finally made and we even had a tie for 1st and 3rd place! Here are your winners!

Come join us tomorrow, Oct.29 for not one but TWO fishing contests! That’s right, it’s a late night double feature!

Join us for the first tourney at our normal time of 12pm SLT. Then come back at 8pm SLT for a special Halloween nighttime edition of our fishing tourney! Wear your Halloween best, and watch out for monsters!

Our fishing tourneys are unbaited 7Seas tournaments and last for 1 hour. First place receives a KittyCatS Diamond Jewel, second place receives a Ruby Jewel, and 3rd place receives an Emerald Jewel. There will also be special prizes randomly given to those in attendance!

2017 Halloween Custom Collar Contest!

Create a cool Halloween Custom Collar using our Collar Creator Kit and send it to Kitten Longmeadow for the contest!

Rules

ENTRY:
– Only one entry per person (not avatar)
– Entries must be PG rated.
– Use the Collar Creator Kit to submit your collar design (or submit your full-perm texture).
– Contestants who solicit for community votes or TP in people for the purpose of voting for their collar will be disqualified from the contest.
– By participating in this event you agree to the above.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS:
• October 20th at 11:59 PM SL time. Please send to Kitten Longmeadow in a folder with your name on it.

JUDGING AND WINNERS:
• Winners will be chosen by a combination of a community vote and a KittyCatS! judging panel.
• Community voting will begin October 23rd and end on October 27th 2017
• Winners will be announced October 29th 2017

SUBMISSION STANDARDS:
• All submitted work must be original and not infringe on the intellectual property of anyone else.

PRIZES:
1st Prize 10,000 K$
2nd Prize 7,500 K$
3rd Prize 5,000 K$

This will be an unbaited 7Seas tourney and will last 1 hour. Earn KittyCatS goodies and fish your way to the top for a chance at winning KittyCatS Jewels! You’re invited to join us and show us your beautiful creations!

Our first theme is “The ABC’s of KittyCatS!” This means participants can showcase breeds beginning with A, B, or C. Show us your best American Shorthairs, Abyssinans, Burmese, Balinese, Chateaus, etc.! And yes, this means Confettis too!

We’re thrilled about the possibility of this becoming a regular event, and September marks our kick-off! September means the end of summer, the beginning of fall, and…back to school!

If this sounds like something fun that you’d like to be a part of, please contact Kitten Longmeadow via notecard by September 20, and be sure to include your avatar name! Space is limited to the first 15 entrants so send your notecard in ASAP!

Set-up for this event will run from September 21-23. Judging will take place from September 24-26. Winners will be announced September 27. All displays will remain up for public view until September 30.

Judging will be conducted by a judges panel. Each participant will receive an award based on criteria such as “Best In Show”, “Most Creative Display”, “Most Unique”, “Most Interesting Trait Combination”, etc. We’re really excited about this first show and can’t wait to see what you’ve created!

RULES
This month’s theme is “ABC’s of KittyCatS” – only show cat breeds beginning with A, B, or C

– One table per person
– Only one (1) KittyCatS allowed per person (no multiple entries using alts)
