Happy Sweet 16th Birthday Second Life!!! WOW!!! Can it be 16 years already?! Time flies when we’re having fun and the last 16 years have certainly been fun! We are so honored and thrilled to once again be part of this festive celebration of imagination, creativity, and enthusiasm! Thank you for letting us be a part of such a landmark occasion!

This is our 9th year in participating in the SL birthday celebration and we’re excited to bring you this pair of commemorative SL16B KittyCats! These KittyCatS incorporate the official SL16B Logo and design elements, and are available to ALL residents, grid-wide! They’re a Birthday gift from us to all of YOU!!!

This pair of collectible KittyCatS comes with 2 weeks of free food for each cat. As newborn kittens they can be worn on your shoulder via the menu, or walk with you, or be petted! After 5 days your KittyCatS can even come jump in your arms to be cuddled or held using the menu! Your friends can pets your cats as well! Breeding your SL16B pair together will also result in a special birthday baby!

KittyCatS Winter Decoration Contest!

Decorate a space for our KittyCatS Winter Wonderland sim!

Fast Facts:
• The contest will be held at our KittyCatS Winter Wonderland sim
• Every participant will get 150 prims to decorate.
• Decorating will be from December 3 through December 9. You will be given a sample display to use ahead of time to plan your decorating.
• Sim opens on December 10 to the public.
• Winners will be chosen by a KittyCatS! judging panel (prizes listed below!)
• Winners will be announced on December 28!

The KittyCatS Winter Wonderland Sim will be open from December 10 through January 6.

Judges Panel prizes are:
First place – 25,000K$
Second Place – 18,750K$
Third Place – 12,500K$
Honorable mention – 5000K$

We also wanted to do something fun and bring back the public vote, but make it separate from the Judges Panel prizes. Each display will have a public voting panel that people can click to vote (one vote per avatar) and the top 3 public vote-getters will get a custom trophy and bragging rights for the next year! Be sure to tell your friends to come check out your display and vote!

Rules for participation:
– One stall per person. (no alts)
– At least one KittyCatS cat has to be in the scene
– PG content
– By participating in this event you agree to the above.

We invite you to use your creativity and imagination as you set up your place. Imagine others taking a peek into a scene you create! Let your imagination run wild!

If you want to participate in the contest please send a notecard with your avatar name to Kitten Longmeadow so she can set you up. Spaces are limited, and they will fill up fast, so be sure to send your notecard in ASAP!

It’s time for the KittyCatS Community Christmas Tree!

Greetings all! It’s time for the KittyCatS Community Christmas Tree!

As we said last year, it’s no secret that we think our KittyCatS Community is the best! The KittyCatS community includes some of the kindest, most generous, and most creative people in SL. Throughout the year we get many requests and offers from community members to help us with ideas or events. We’ve seen how many of you will often create free gifts to give away at your CatShow and Decoration Contest displays, and how quickly you will jump in when someone in chat asks for help or advice.

So we’ve decided to bring back the KittyCatS Community Christmas Tree! This giant tree will be available at our Winter Wonderland Sim beginning December 10, and EVERYONE in the community is invited to join in the holiday spirit and come add their own gifts under the tree! We’ll also be advertising this event in the SL events listings so the entire SL community can come take part!

Your gift can be ANYTHING you want! Write a poem or a story about your KittyCatS! Take a neat picture and frame it! Make some furniture, or clothing, or a gag gift – whatever you want! Make it fun, silly, extravagant, simple, or wild! The sky’s the limit! EVERYONE is invited to take part in this event and provide a free gift to the community! :)

To participate you just need to do the following:

* Contact Kitten Longmeadow via a notecard titled “KittyCatS Community Christmas Tree” with your avatar name.
* Accept a group invite to our “KittyCatS & Friends Events Group”.

Group invites will be sent out beginning December 1. The tree will be available for gift placement beginning December 3. The sim will open to the public beginning December 10 and run through January 6.

KittyCatS at RFL Home Expo & Breedable Fair

Hi all! We were asked last minute to put up a display for the RFL Home Expo and Breedable Fair so we decided to do that and contribute a cat for the OOAK auction.

For our display we decided to be a little different and create a jungle park where you can visit with a few of our MEGA MegaPuss Menagerie cats!

For our OOAK item, KittyCatS has a special giant perma-pet Lucky Shamrock Tiger up for auction! Bidding is now open at 2000L and the auction runs until June 2 at 1pm SLT. Remember all proceeds go to RFLofSL! Good luck and have fun!

KittyCatS! DogCat! – HappyNewYear 2018 – A Gift From Us To YOU!

We’ve created this special kitty in celebration of the Chinese New Year, as 2018 is the Year of the Dog – the KittyCatS! DogCat!

This is a REALLY special KittyCat since it truly is full of surprises! It was originally intended to be available from a vendor, but these kitties were SO eager to meet you all that they decided to sneak into our system as a surprise birth kitty! So you now have TWO ways to acquire this unique collectible KittyCat!

  • Your cats can birth a special KittyCatS! DogCat during their normal breeding. The DogCatS that you breed can be ANY size and are TRANSFER. This will only occur ONCE per avatar.
  • There is a vendor at our store that you can click to receive a KittyCatS! DogCat. The DogCats received from this vendor can be ANY size and are NON-TRANSFER. These cats also come with a free 1 week supply of food and are ONE per avatar.

Since this was such a surprise, and we normally give you more notice for special birth events, both the vendor and the special birthing event will last from Jan. 1-21. So you have plenty of chances to acquire this special New Year’s KittyCat! :)

And for those of you who were surprised by the New Year’s Kitty from your RoboKitties, instead of your sized Twins, don’t worry! Your RoboKitty pairs will have their special sized Twin babies on their next breeding together. :)

We know that for many, this past year has been full of trials and tribulations, happiness and heartache, joy and celebration, good times and bad. But with a new year comes new opportunities and new challenges and experiences, and we can’t want to see what 2018 has in store!

We hope you and your new KittyCat will enjoy the coming year as you enjoy and make memories in your Second Life!

KittyCatS 2017 Winter Decoration Contest Winners!

What an amazing contest! It was really, really hard for our judges to choose our winners because there were so many fantastic and wonderful displays to choose from! We loved seeing everyone’s hard work and creativity, and it was tough to make decisions!

In the end, we had several ties for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, plus some Honorable Mentions. And because everyone did such a great job, we decided that we can’t let them all go home empty-handed. So everyone will receive a trophy for their participation in this event, along with a special gift of appreciation from us at KittyCatS. :)
