Hello friends! It’s time for our Monthly “Mewsletter” again, wrapping up all of the news from the previous month!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KITTYCATS!

February marked the SECOND year for KittyCatS! in Second Life! Can you believe we’re TWO?! It’s been a great two years and we want to thank the entire KittyCatS Community for all of your support and appreciation. Here’s looking forward to year #3! :)

NEW RELEASES

February was also a month of releases! As part of our birthday celebration, we released TWO special limited edition Birthday KittyCatS! One kitty was given as a gift at our main store and our birthday sim, but the other you had to do a little hunting for. :)

And just like last year, our start kitties got brand new birthday suits too! Check them out! :)

We also released our 2013 Valentine Collection – the BugS and the BeeS! This was an extremely fun collection for us to create for you and we hope during this season of love, they warm your hearts and remind you to LoVe all YEAR LONG!!!

Finally those of you that had kittens born between February 12-14 had a chance to have a special Mardi Gras kitty born to your cats! Aren’t they adorable?

Finally we released some new accessories for your KittyCatS in the form of Love Glasses and Western Hats. Available now at our main store! :)

SPECIAL EVENTS

Our Birthday Celebration lasted all month long (and beyond) and featured a number of special community events! We kicked things off on Thursday, February 7th with KittyCatS Trivia. Voting also began for our special Valentine’s Day KittyCatS Custom Collar Decoration contest! We followed up on Friday, February 8th with KittyCatS Fishing, as well as the start of both our Birthday Hunt and the beginning of voting in our special KittyCatS Birthday Decoration Contest.

The weekend was a lot of fun! Saturday, February 9th marked our very first KittyCatS MegaPuss Race on our Birthday Sim! Loaner cats were available for those wanting to race who did not have a MegaPuss of their own, and everyone had a blast! Then Sunday, February 10th marked our KittyCatS Second Birthday Party! The theme for our event was Western, and so many people came by to party and dance with KittyCatS that the sim was perpetually full! We had so much fun and we hop you all did too. We can’t wait for next year! :)

NEW DISCOVERIES

There were several new discoveries made in February! Congratulations goes to Kendrah Vantelli for discovering the Odyssey Slush Eyes, Femmestophilies Resident for discovering the Blush shade, and Fire Sabretooth for discovering the Main Coon Plush Calico Washed fur (wow…say that 5 times fast!) Congratulations to all of you on your new discoveries! :)

KITTYCATS OF THE MONTH – January

Unfortunately no one got the KittyCatS of the Month for February, though many came really close! Remember if you breed a KittyCatS of the month, you not only win a jewel, but you also get your KittyCat of the Month turned into a big cat! The race to get the KittyCat of the Month for March is under way – will YOU be this month’s winner?

KittyCatS is proud to be a sponsor of One Billion Rising in Second Life!

ONE BILLION RISING began as a call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. With the world population at 7 billion, this adds up to more than ONE BILLION WOMEN AND GIRLS. On February 14, 2013, men and women in Second Life will join activists, writers, thinkers, celebrities, and people across the world to Walk, Dance, and Rise as a show of unity, individual strength, and the need for change.

This event begins at midnight on February 14 and runs for 24 hours straight! Visit any of the sims below to be a part if this amazing world-wide event. :)

Monthly Mewsletter – January 2013

Hello friends! It’s time for our Monthly “Mewsletter” again, wrapping up all of the news from the previous month!

UPDATES

January marked the arrival of our much-anticipated Update 1.29! We’re especially proud of this update since it featured some really amazing changes that we’ve had planned for a long time! Update 1.29 introduced 3 new sizes for our KittyCatS – Petite, Bigger de Big, and MegaPuss! And as a special feature, the MegaPuss kitty is a ridable cat! Yes that’s right! You can ride your kitties around, and even have a friend join you! Update 1.29 also brought about several changes to our Pedigree page, and saw the introduction of a new product, the Magic Menagerie Bottle!

NEW RELEASES

As mentioned, January saw the release of the Magic Menagerie Bottle! This new product allows for immediate retrieval of cats sent to the menagerie by accident or if you have second thoughts. The window for getting a cat back will be ONE WEEK from when it was sent. You can read more about the Magic Menagerie Bottle in our update notes here!

We also released another cat in our series of Patriotic Statues! You can pick up the Australia cat at our main store, along with the other Patriotic cats! :)

NEW DISCOVERIES

Lots of new discoveries in January! Congratulations goes out to Jolita Korobase for discovering the Fussy whisker shape, Inia Soulstar for discovering the Latte whisker color, Neckcadaver Resident for discovering the Fancie Dusky Diamond eye color, and Temptation Beaumont for discovering the “Main” Coon Plush Calico fur. Congratulations all!

Hello friends! We thought it would be fun to do a weekly wrap-up of events and activities that have occured in KittycatS over the past month. So every month we’ll be posting a new edition of our monthly “Mewsletter” to recap what’s been going on with KittyCatS over the current month! :)

NEW RELEASES

July was a great month for releasing new products! We kicked the month off with the release of our KittyCatS Optics line and quickly followed that up with the release of some new summer T-shirts for your KittyCatS to have more ways to strut their style!

July also sawthe release of our first Patriotic KittyCatS decor statue, celebrating the Fourth of July.

We followed up by releasing the French, Belgium and Swiss Patriotic KittyCat decor statues.

Finally we wrapped up the month of July with a special treat for KittyCatS customers. To hep celebrate teamwork and the spirit of sportsmanship, your KittyCatS had a chance to birth a special collectible “Team KittyCat” from July 29 through August 1st. These special KittyCatS came in 3 different styles and were limited to one per avatar. Which team were you on? :)

UPDATE

July also saw the release of Update 1.23, which quickly turned into Update 1.24 to correct certain issues that popped up courtesy of SL wonkiness. This latest update had us really excited since it introduced two new Display modes for live cats – Image mode and 2D mode – and more importantly, allowed us to introduce “Peek a Box”, a new state for boxes that allows the gender to be displayed on the box, while still showing the wonderful aesthetics of your KittyCatS! Needless to say this was a feature that us all pretty jazzed, and it’s been great to see how the KittyCatS community has incorporated the new box displays into their market set-ups. :)

We followed up our Update with an update to our Online Cattery. Not only can you see your genders directly on your newborn kitten boxes, but you can also see them in your Cattery once you enable the feature under your account settings! :)

SPECIAL EVENTS

July was also a month for KittyCatS and special events! We continued our participation with Second Life Relay For Life with an RFL Kick-Off Party on July 12 at the KittyCatS main sim.

From 9:00am to 9:00pm SLT, the KittyCatS main sim was open for dancing, prizes, music, and lots of fun! We were thrilled to see so many of our KittyCatS friends there having a great time and helping to celebrate Relay For Life!

Relay for Life wasn’t the only charitable event that KittyCatS participated in during the month of July. KittyCatS was also proud to take part in this year’s Hair Fair by supporting “Wigs For Kids”. We created 5 bandannas that were sold with all proceeds going to support this great charity that provides free wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer or any other disease.

Each month the KittyCatS main sim is host to both a fishing contest and a KittyCatS trivia contest. This months winners were:

The July KittyCat of the Month winner was Nissa Nightfire. Congratulations Nissa! :)

NEW DISCOVERY

Congratulations were in order for Malicia Python, for acquiring enough jewels for a FanciCat and discovering the Fancie Ocicat – Lavender Dream. Congratulations Malicia! :)

NEW STAFF

We welcomed three new CSR’s to the KittyCatS Support Team in July. TomCat Southpaw joined us as a new Spanish CSR. We also welcomed Chateau Spot and Kawaii Cat as our new Japanese CSR’s. Welcome to the team! :)
