A little over a week ago we posted about KittyCatS going to the Greek Games. Well the wait is over, and the Team KittyCatS are here! From July 29th through the 31st, your cats have the chance to birth a special collectible “Team KittyCat” to help celebrate worldwide sportsmanship and goodwill!

The Team KittyCatS are limited to one per avatar, and every avatar has an equal chance at getting any of the Team KittyCatS! These cats will not contain special traits, and if you decide you don’t like your Team KittyCatS costume, you can send in a ticket to have the costume removed (this is irreversible so be sure before making the request!)

In anticipation of the Ancient GreeK Games which will start next week, KittyCatS! wants to have a little fun of our own!

What will it be????

Only the Ancient CatS know…. Just get your cats ready!!! They will be able to birth a specially designed cat from 29th-31st July to celebrate these ancient games and the world wide participation!!!

If you get your “dream” KittyCatS and you don’t want to wear it the costume, you will be able to make a support ticket and we will retrieve your KittyCatS without the costume. That can be done only once so if you change your mind later we will not be able to bring the costume back.

Everyone has the chance to get one “special” KittyCat, it is limited one per avatar.

Get your KittyCatS ready and good luck breeding!!

Hello KittyCatS! Community!!!

We have been working tirelessly on this update and are so so so excited for you to have it! We hope you will be excited too!!!

It has some very very cool new features that have been part of our plans for a LONG time :) *hmmm wonder what that could be?*

With each update we aim to improve your experience with your KittyCatS! while tending to any little bugs or fleas we may have encountered along the way!

So without any further introduction, let’s look at what is in this update!

HIGHLIGHTS

* KittyCatS! proudly presents – “What’s my name?”

You all may or may not know but… many kitties out there are having an identity crisis having the same name, “Kitten”. Now, while we LOVE that name, (as it’s the name of our lead CSR, Kitten Longmeadow) we know some KityCatS feel a bit unsure of who they are!

Now your newborn “kittens” will be born with a random name which you can either keep OR change! :) This will be helpful when looking for lost cats for you and us. Whether you keep the name it’s born with or not, one thing is for sure, there won’t be any cats having an identity crisis anymore! :) We will add to the name database, even take YOUR suggestions, but for now it’s pretty full, so we hope you enjoy this feature that will keep your cats from feeling upset when they wonder “why do so many cats have the same name as I do?”

This is really a fun new feature and we hope you enjoy it!

* KittyCatS! proudly presents – “Peek-A-Box” (we’re really excited about this!)

We are thrilled to provide this new feature for you which allows you to “peek” inside your box to see what your new kitten looks like!!! Boxes can be switched to 2 prim images of your cats AND back…. (they even blink!)

But WAIT, thats not all. The image does not only allow you to see a picture of your cat, but also its gender! *waits for everyone to get up off the ground* YES!!! Those who want to know, simply click “image” on your box and watch the magic happen! Those who do NOT wish to know, don’t worry, you can keep it a surprise too, just birth your box as you normally would!

In the coming days, both the pedigree and Cattery box storage system will be updated as well to show the gender for boxes there… so cats born in the cattery will automatically have gender displayed.

This feature allows for more flexibility in your KittyCatS! experience whether you are a casual breeder or one who sells their cats. Another thing we love about this new feature is, even if you keep your cats unbirthed for selling or breeding projects, you, your friends, and even customers can now “see” them!!! We imagine there will be some awesome displays with KittyCatS in this new “image” mode in catteries and markets alike! This feature can also be helpful when working on breeding programs to store your “boxes” for future use.

Additionally, KittyCatS HUD owners can switch all their boxes to images at one time and back again! As an added bonus the HUD now also allows to set the text options for all your boxes with one click! (updated HUDs are delivered free of charge during the update process)

So in summary: Boxes will continue to keep the gender a secret… Box Images in SHOW it!!!
We can’t wait to see how you all use this new feature, with the creativity our community has, we know we’re in for some fun surprises!

We’ve been so excited about this for long and are thrilled it’s now available!

* KittyCatS! proudly presents – “Display Mode”

This feature goes a little further with the low prim mode we already have. It gives you the option to display your cats 2 ways. One as a 2D Cat, one as an “image”, comparable to the new box images. Each way uses ONLY 2 prims. This can come in handy for your special projects, market & cattery set ups, or anything you wish. You find the option for this mode in the low prim section of the “Prims” submenu!

Note: Any clothes or accessories your cats are wearing will be automatically hidden in these new 2 prim modes.

* KittyCatS! proudly presents – “Will you marry me???”

We added the winning sentences to the cats from our “what should your cat’s say when you partner them” contest. They are now in this update!!! We hope you enjoy this new feature!
We think it’s funny and we hope the cats will too! LOL.

ADDITIONS
* Roll over animation!!! – too cute for words, you just gotta see it. :)
* Perma Pet name changes are now registered in the database.
* Boxes which you name and send to the cattery will now come back with that same name when brought to SL!

CHANGES
* Ball & Feather will not accumulate in inventory when detached. (this only works on sims on the RC channel. When the function is rolled out to the entire grid, it will work for all.)
* Changes made that overcome new LL limits to reduce inventory transfers between different prim modes.
* Some love gaining improvements made to help with sim rollbacks where possible.

FIXES
* Clothes & accessory switching more reliable with hud.
* Petting movements in cats work properly.
* Work around for SL problem which caused white kittens to be born from boxes.

HOW TO UPDATE
***************

Quick Tutorial Video

In the coming 24 hours your cats will start to show an “UPDATE ME” tag.
As soon as they do, the UPDATE button will be available in your cats menu to obtain an updater.
As of that point, you have 2 weeks to update your cats.
Make sure you have at least 30 prims available when you run the updater.

EASY AS 1,2,3 updating steps:

1. Click the “UPDATE” button in the menu of your cat and it will give you an updater.
2. Rez the Updater
3. Click the “can of Update” and watch it as it updates all your cats and boxes! The updater will give KittyCatS HUD owners a new HUD as well.

No need to move cats, re rez them, group them, travel to sandboxes, pull your hair, or anything! It’s REALLY that easy. :) yay!
All settings for your cat will be kept, including the group. Only if you had a cat or box for sale, you will have to put them for sale again…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SECOND LIFE FROM KITTYCATS!

As the creators of the KittyCatS! AND inspired by the “Second Life Community” we’d like to say Happy 9th Birthday Second Life! We are so thrilled to be part of such a wonderful celebration of creativity and enthusiasm.

This is our second year in participating in the SL birthday celebration and we’re thrilled to bring you this commemorative SL9B KittyCat! This KittyCat is available to ALL residents as our Birthday Gift to you. :)

In addition, several members of our KittyCatS! community who are also content creators have graciously set out free gifts to help celebrate SL9B with KittyCatS! Their birthday gifts are scattered along the main pathway, so as you take in the birthday displays, be sure to pick up some birthday gifts too! :)

KittyCatS is proud to present our first KittyCatS! Collectible Menagerie Cat!

That magical, mysterious place… the Menagerie…. where KittyCatS go to enjoy a life of luxury, enjoyment and fun forever… and now… for the first time, they are coming to YOU!!! They have heard stories of how wonderful you are from the other cats there and have demanded they be able to come live with you!!! The Bengal Tigers are the first who really insisted they come to be with you, so now, you will be able to enjoy them!

They come with one of the 4 possible eyes: Jade, Amber, Lapis and Odyssey Cobalt & Olivine… all inspired by the beautiful rocks that are part of the exotic Menagerie Landscape. You will also notice their cute ears and tail… :)

These cats are only available through your Kitty Dollars earned via the Menagerie, and if you don’t have enough now, you can save up for one :) they plan on staying around for a very very very very long time :)

* how do I buy them? – Our Menagerie Collectible Tigers are purchased with your Kitty Dollars earned by sending cats and boxes to the Menagerie. This is shown on your account as your “Kitty Dollar Balance”
* how much are they? – You can buy a normal sized one for 10,000 K$ and a teacup or toy for 12,000 K$.

KittyCatS is proud to present the 2012 RFLofSL “Time For A Cure” collectible KittyCatS!

These collection Kitties were inspired by this year’s theme “Time For A Cure”. We’ve created a set of “SteamPunk” cats, which combine the elements of raw metal & life giving water… and the hope for a cure. ALL proceeds from the sale of these unique collectible KittyCatS! goes toward Relay for Life of SL. They will be available until the last day of Relay for Life in July.

The “Time For A Cure” SteamPunk KittyCatS CAN carry the WAVY whisker trait shown on the cats. The “Time For A Cure” KittyCatS also come with unique collectible packaging, some little goggles, and include one week’s worth of food. They are randomly given so you can trade with your friends!
