Hello to our AMAZING KittyCatS Owners Old and NEW!!!!

This update contains a feature we’ve wanted since DAY ONE!!! We’re so excited to see it become a REALITY

Now more than ever before you will be able to customize your KittyCatS! to fit your style and tastes… and it’s just the start! Kitty Couture has arrived!
(well part one…., hee hee) <— what could that mean?!

Once again, as always, we want to thank you for being a part of our community. Your contributions help make up our awesome community and really add to the KittyCatS! experience.

So… here are the highlights, additions, changes and fixes included in this update.
Anything marked with a " * " has been present in version 1.11 , which was released for the Halloween & Collabor88 Cats, but not for regular KittyCatS.

HIGHLIGHTS

Introducing: KittyCatS! Couture – KittyHats! (wearable hats)

“The Hat on the Cat!”

(available now in our showroom)

Yes!!! You read right, we are so excited to present our very first Hat Collection that YOUR KittyCatS can wear! Each of these Hats come with a matching collar as an introductory “gift with purchase” special. The collar can be used to match OR, of course you can use the hats with any collars to create your own look that suits your style. We hope you love this feature as much as we do.

The hat adds one prim to your cats… but with such cuteness, we think it’s worth it

Note: Hats on Cats do work with the “Less is More” prim saving mode, but add a prim there too.

Introducing: Lazy Cat Animations

We’ve added some fun new ‘Lazy” animations where your cat lays around and does cat things like stretching, licking it’s leg, and other stuff… the animations are random, and are really cute, so now when your cats have the Sit&Lay option enabled they will also lay more and do cute things.

Introducing: Streeeeeeeeetchhhhhh! – Standing Cat Stretch

We added a new cute stretch for when your cat is in the walking mode… you’ll just have to watch to see

OTHER ADDITIONS

– The pose menu now contains a total of 9 poses! We added a cute ball holding pose, a new lay pose as well as a funny stand pose for more decorating fun!
(NOTE: it can take up to half a minute for the ball to disappear when the cat is moved or the pose turned off. Also, particles must be turned on to see the ball.)
– Once a box starts to Unpack, the “Unpack” button is replaced with a “Stop Unpack” button to allow you to reverse any accidental clicks or mind changes
– To avoid confusion for less experienced Box menu users with this addition, the Menu will not re-appear on its own after clicking “Unpack”.

for KittyCatS HUD Owners:
– New sorting feature: Sort by partnered cats! Couples are shown side by side, in alternating color.
(NOTE: this feature will only work optimal if both cats of the couple are present, and this for all couples)
– When sorting on love, cats which have their love turned off (? Off) will be grouped in front of the list.
– When sorting on love, cats which are at 100% love and have all stats ready to breed (?? 100%) are grouped together at the back of the list.

CHANGES

– Cats older then 120 days will now have a higher happiness! (it’s not so bad getting old)
– A “Loading, do NOT take me in inventory right now!” warning will appear on cats which fail to contact our database when born/updated/switched prim mode or when a collar or hat is applied. *
– Cats in low prim mode will randomly show their tongues. *
– Cats in pose mode will randomly show their tongues.

FIXES

Boxes:
– The updater will now update all cats & boxes when over 700 boxes are present.

Cats:
– The legs & body of your cats will now always look right and not transform into “donuts”. *
– The heads & tail will always properly attach to the body. *
– Cats which are switched to low prim mode or back will not develop an occasional wrong “Copy-Delete me” warning. *
– Attached cats can not be switched to low prim mode anymore. *
– Perma-Pets™ will have their hover text at the correct place when switched to low prim mode. *
– The Magic Broom (KittyCatS Fly option, not included in all cats) will now always properly work with 3rd party flight assists when not using the internal flight assist.
– Fix for a possible script “math” error in Walk&Run Script.
– The “|” symbol will no longer be accepted as a valid character for box & cat names, as this can cause a problem for your KittyCatS HUDs.
Existing names containing the character will not be changed, but we strongly advise to rename such cats.

HOW TO UPDATE
~`*~`*~`*~`*~`*~`*~`*~

In the coming 24 hours your cats will start to show an “UPDATE ME” tag.
As soon as they do, the UPDATE button will be available in your cats menu to obtain an updater.
As of that point, you have 2 weeks to update your cats.
Make sure you have at least 30 prims available when you run the updater.

EASY AS 1,2,3 updating steps:

1. Click the “UPDATE” button in the menu of your cat and it will give you an updater.
2. Rez the Updater
3. Click the “can of Update” and watch it as it updates all your cats and boxes! The updater will give KittyCatS HUD owners a new HUD as well.

No need to move cats, re rez them, group them, travel to sandboxes, pull your hair, or anything! It’s REALLY that easy. yay!
All settings for your cat will be kept, including the group. Only if you had a cat or box for sale, you will have to put them for sale again…

WE ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED ABOUT THIS UPDATE !!! We have worked really hard to bring you 2 very cool new features and we hope you are as excited about them as we are! DID WE TELL YOU WE’RE EXCITED???????

And… once again, we want to thank you for being a part of our community. Each of you contribute in some way that makes our awesome community what it is and we truly appreciate what you bring to the KittyCatS! experience.

Ok so let’s get RIGHT TO IT and let you know what’s coming inside your little can-o-update!

HIGHLIGHTS

Introducing: LESS IS MORE – a prim-saving feature.

KittyCatS! proudly introduces our “Less Is More” feature. What is less is more? Simply put, it turns your cat into an 8 prim cat when in use (Yes, 5 or 6 prims saved on each cat!). For our introduction we offer 3 different options, for your cats to “rest” in.

In this update, a natural woven basket, a wooden water bucket they love to bathe in, and a decorative container. These 3 are a sampling of more to come in future updates. We hope you enjoy this feature! Now you can perhaps rez some of your furniture, houses, trees and all the other things you’ve had to get rid of as your cats pushed you out of house and home! Perhaps even get your partner back!!! And for those of you who wanted even MORE room for cats… you will LOVE this!

For KittyCatS HUD owners the low prim setting can be set trough the HUD as well all at once, including a handy “randomize” button which assigns a random low prim pose to each of your cats

Introducing: PET N’ PLAY – “any time, anywhere, any cat”

Ever wish you could just pet your Kitty and relax under a tree? Wish you could pamper them with lots of love? Spoil them like they demand? Well NOW you can! The Pet N’ Play feature allows to you Pet & Play with ANY KittyCatS you want! Simply right click, hit “pet” and go!** We have dreamt of this feature since before we launched and we are SO happy to finally be able to bring it to you! Our hope is that it will add a whole new dimension to your experience with KittyCatS! We have loved making it. It has been one of our greatest challenges so far on many levels and we really hope you love it.

**On Third-Party viewers, if “Pet” is not visible use “Sit” instead!

Our scripter did a really amazing job with this so make sure to let him know when ya see him!

A very special thank goes to Adorkable Peapod of Adorkable Poses who worked closely with the team on the animation designs and poses. She contributed so much heart and time into her work and we really appreciate all the work she did and many changes, adjustments, and changes….. adjustments… and… She is awesome!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the infinite number of avatar size possibilities and cat sizes it is impossible to “fit” the avatar to the cat perfectly with the limitations we have in SL. For best results you may need to adjust your shape depending on how much you want to “perfect” the placement. (the best way for this is to make a COPY of your shape, name it “KittyCatS petting shape” and adjust things like height, arm length etc. THIS IS NOT NECESSARY, but a suggestion for those who may want to get the adjustment factor closer if it’s off for them.)

ADDITIONS

New Love Indicators: When your cat is ready to breed it will now show you 2 HEARTS Also when your cat has some vitamins left in it, the Love symbol will show as a clear heart, meaning you can’t give it more vitamins.
Ofcourse, the cat still needs a partner KittyCat in range to be able to breed
Here is an example of how it will now look.

• Cats will now look around a bit when just standing
• For KittyCatS HUD owners: Set Home For All your cats at once!
• Perma-Pets can now be configured to only show the name, the gender or both. This setting will be reminded after an update and, for KittyCatS HUD owners, can be set through the hud as well!
• You can now turn the text of boxes on or off at once with 2 handy buttons YAY!!!!

CHANGES

• The Menagerie & breeding off confirmation dialogs now show “No” as their left button as some who are uncertain about the result, assumed to use the first button as the safer option, even though it wasn’t.
• The default sales value of cats, boxes and jewels is now preset to 1000 lindens, to avoid any accidental “10 linden sales”.
• The cats size calculation as shown in the info is now more accurate, which could mean it will report 1cm more or less. Main reason for this change are the low prim cats, which “didn’t work” with the old system.
• Hover text color of Perma-Pets & Boxes now matches those of cats.

FIXES

Boxes:

• Objects owned by the owner of the box will no longer be “able” to name a box if they “say” something while the owner is naming it.

Cats:

• Giving energy vitamins while a cat is sleeping, which would increase the energy to over 100%, will now set the energy to 100% and wake up the cat, rather then a very low energy value and continue to sleep.
• Possible fix for Perma-Pets ending up with a disproportional head for a short time (Yes, we need your help here, keep reporting the problem if it still occurs!).
• Cats will now better detect very irregular parcel borders and walk around more freely when set to parcel range.
• Possible fix for a few cases where the dad didn’t break up its partnership after mating.

HUD

• The HUD will now always load cats after a bad crash or bad teleport.
• clicking on an empty space for huds with 4 or less cats displayed will no longer give a script error message.

Jewels

• Jewels will now update their ownership faster on our website. (only for new jewels)
