Gacha policy change & KittyCatS Update

Hi Everyone!

With the gacha ban going into effect we have some information we’ve confirmed with LL as to how this will affect KittyCatS.

At this time, since breedables are exempt from the policy change and our starter cats are no transfer, we are not currently affected by the change.

We have reached out to Linden Lab about our collections for further clarification. We will let the community know when we have more information on that.  We are confident that no matter what changes may come our way, we can adjust and adapt.

Below is some information with links from the FAQ about breedables:

Q:  How are breedables impacted by this policy change?

A:  This current policy change and deadline does not apply to breedables or other life simulation products.  At the present we are working with external counsel on the subject of breedables.  If any action is required we will make a separate announcement and have a separate timeline associated with it.

Q:  But what about breedables (again)?

A:  If you buy a brown cat, and a blue cat (as examples), as long as you knew you were getting a brown cat and a blue cat at the time of sale, this is acceptable at the present including the various unknown traits they may come with or develop.  Secondarily, when those cats make little kittens with unknown outcomes, this is also acceptable.  Lastly, the resale of any breedables will require at the time of purchase that the purchaser knows what they are purchasing at the root level (for example, it is a blue cat).

LL clarified when they state ‘root level’ this means user must know minimum of 2 characteristics they are getting With purchase.
Examples:
– it’s boy cat. (Boy + cat=2)
– cat with genesis ears and apple eyes. (Ears + eye color  + cat =3)
– a cat with a curious tail and natural shade. (Tail + shade + cat =3)

All characteristics must be ON the cat. (Food, vitamins don’t count )

*Hidden traits are not affected by the policy.

October is our 10th Year Anniversary of the KittyCat of the Month Contest! In celebration the October KoM this year will be the same as our very first one from October 2011!!!

Inspired by the “Second Life Community” we’d like to say Happy 18th Birthday Second Life! We are thrilled to again be part of such a festive celebration of creativity and enthusiasm.

This is our 11th year in participating in the SL birthday celebration and we’re excited to bring you these commemorative SL18B KittyCatS! These KittyCats are available to ALL residents, grid-wide as our Birthday Gift!

These cats were created JUST for this 18th birthday celebration, and incorporates the official SL18B Logo!

These collectible KittyCatS come with 2 weeks worth of food. As a newborn kitten, they can be worn on your shoulder via the menu, or walk with you and you can pet it!!! After 5 days, your KittyCats can even come jump in your arms to be cuddled or held (via the simple menu selection). Your friends can even PET your cats!

We like to refer to KittyCatS as “Pets that can breed” rather than a “breedable” as they do much more than breed! FAST FACTS

– KittyCatS are 13 prims without a collar. Collars, hats and vests add 1 prim each.
– KittyCatS are low lag and feature very low script time.
– You can cuddle and play with your KittyCatS and they can walk with you and tp around with you!!!
– KittyCatS can be set to breed or not – it’s your choice!
– KittyCatS make great pets!
– Starter KittyCatS come in one of five (5) random coat types and are no-transfer.
– From the five starter cats, you can discover over 70 different furs, over 70 eyes, and a multitude of other traits! over 55 million combinations possible!!!
– Offspring of starter KittyCatS are transferable! Give them to friends as gifts, or create your own pet shop and sell them!
– KittyCatS can be made into “permanent pets” that never need food and don’t breed.

HI everyone!all the menagerie cats now are available in the Hubba Tubba size!! so if you think that sounds like fun, you can get them in the shop!!

remember they are only available with EARNED Menagerie Kitty  Dollars, you can’t buy gift cards and get them that way. (has been some confusing in the past)
