How are the Confetti kitties going for you?

RE: How are the Confetti kitties going for you?
Yeah I take it all back. I've had nothing but gen furs from all my Confetti's since I posted my last comment in March. And I confess I had high hopes after breaking the color barrier and actually getting two blueberries I could pair. But nope. Nothing. it's like I cursed myself by saying I'd been lucky! And now my army is dying out. I've always accepted the odds are high of getting confetti furs back from confetti parents. However I do agree that going through a pairs entire breeding lifespan with nothing but gen furs to show or one confetti coco os at best makes the deck feel very stacked against them. I like to gamble but if all one does is lose then it takes all the fun out of the breeding. So for me once they die out that's it, I'm done with them. I won't go back for more.

Hello all! I've been very interested in seeing everyone else's results with the fetti kitties. It seems that people either have great luck with them, terrible luck with them or a mixture of both. I set up a spreadsheet to keep track of all my data and I thought I would share it with you all. It's a real-time box by box update which is why the majority of the pairs don't have all their numbers yet. Hope someone else finds some use for the number crunching.

You seem to be doing better than I have done. I have had mediocre luck with confetti cats; a few blueberry, a few coco, lots of ordinary cats. It seems like a bad risk of money and time.

Well, my current pair of Blueberries is about to age out, and I am not going to replace them with the Confetti kittens in my boxes. these two will go to kitty heaven, and good riddance. They have wasted time and kibble for no real pleasure. Sadly, I have come to a place of considering how to reduce my breeding pairs considerably. No more Confettis....what a waste...

RE: How are the Confetti kitties going for you?
Luck was chilly at first, then a good streak, then chilled a bit, then a hot streak, then chilled, and recently started picking back up again. 1 orange early on with the blue more challenging, and no more orange so far so instead of buying, I bought one from the store hoping to infuse new genes.

Loving the cattery! Thank you KittyCatS!

RE: How are the Confetti kitties going for you?
Horrible.

I had two pair of cocoberries. They are 111 days old and only have one breeding left to go. So far

Cat 1 - Has not given me a SINGLE confetti cat
Cat 2 - Fathered ONE cocoberry
Cat 3 - Mothered three cocoberries
Cat 4 - Fathered two cocoberries

So, From my two pair, I got one pair of cocoberries back plus an extra without a partner...and unless they throw confetti next week, they're aged out.

RE: How are the Confetti kitties going for you?
I've had three pairs of confettis, one pair gave me no confettis at all, and another pair gave me just one cocoberry box in their 120 day breeding cycle, bred that one to an appleberry I purchased, and got just one cocoberry back, which i bred back to the appleberry and finally when the appleberry was 108 days old I got an appleberry back, which did make me feel happy, however I have no more confettis to breed to it. I haven't given up completely yet, I'm considering purchasing another confetti starter to put to it, but as I can't really afford to purchase a second pair, the chances I will be disappointed again are more than likely. I'm quite disappointed overall, I think I have had pretty bad luck with them, most people I know that breed them do better than me but they are also not happy with the results

immediate breed back with parents is necessary with cocoberries that come from the menagerie to discover what fur is hiding on which parent under the cocoberry fur........

Thanks for this tread! I have been considering cashing in my menagerie dollars for a confetti, but due to complaints I have heard both in world and now reading this thread I think I will just continue to use my menagerie dollars to help feed my cats.

They were opened and have been bred back a few times....nothing. Not even a cocoberry haha.
