As I see it there are two reasons for a second proof. The first is just in case of human misinterpretation of what one is seeing in the analysis particularly in the (unlikely) event that an Even-More-Recessive thing is lurking that just mucks up what one is seeing.

The other - and it is to the credit of the community that this hasn't happened - is for evidence to be falsely photoshopped of some new trait or other for the lolz: "OH HEY, I'VE DISCOVERED THE WHIRLY-TWIRLY TAIL. AND IT'S SUPER-RECESSIVE." Like that.

It would be a short-lived prank to be sure, but it could happen.

I agree, 2nd proof is needed. If my memory serves me correct, sometime last year there was an error regarding the top fur, can't exactly remember which fur it was, however it was declared the most recessive, only for us to find out a few weeks later, that it wasn't.

OMG, this tail name is the best. Callie, can we PLEASE have a Whirly-Twirly tail?! I need this trait, it sounds amazing. Big Grin

(Sorry to de-rail LOL, but I need a Whirly-Twirly tail.)

You tell him Ethereal this should just stop Wink
Sorry, what I should have said was, stop trying to bring logic to the forums.. My bad. Didn't mean to sound like I was attacking one specific person, when in fact I was making a broad and general attack on everyone. Again, sorry!

Everyone has their own breeding purposes here. Some like having goregeous kitty just by its look. Some like all recessive traits just jammed together. Others just don't care, simply just having fun by just pairing and give a baby. In general, everyone does differently on what they like. So in this case from previous posts, some like just aiming or even enjoying to analyze the technical part of breeding.

If you may allow me just to suggest to respect everyone's point of view and different theme of each discussion. Again, no one says you're attacking. Just relax.

"Allow browsing of all previous generations from In World Pedigree links", click that if you want to save time to provide in-world pedigree giver.

Thanks! I've been wondering how that was set.

I have had that box checked forever. It doesn't allow people to see a pedigree link on all your inworld boxes and kitties. You have to manually do that for each kitty or box.

That could be maybe down to your browser - I know using Mozilla Firefox on the forums limits my text sizes/font/colour etc

How would that be browser dependent? I just checked IE, Chrome, and Firefox. The box is checked in all three, but in world, no kitty has a pedigree link when you click on it unless I individually click the box on the cat's pedigree page.

The box on the website on the account page doesn't say that it makes all kitties' pedigrees visible, it says that it allows people to view all previous generations from an in world link. I thought the initial in world link had to be provided. If someone knows a way to make all my kitties show a pedigree link in world without me having to individually set that, please do let me know.
Me too, please... I have too many cats, I can't check that box on all of them, ugh. If someone's not going to buy my cats because I don't have time to check the box on EVERY cat I sell then, oh well! I put a pedigree linker in all my shops so if anyone wants to see a pedigree, they can do it themselves Smile Heart Besides, on the few cats where I have checked the box, it's unchecked the next time I view the same cat's pedigree later, so I'm not even sure if it's actually showing a pedigree link.
