Thanks! I've been wondering how that was set.
And also click the box in the individual cat's pedigree tree that says:
"Enable In World Pedigree Link"
I won't consider buying any cat without the pedigree showing, even if its only $19!

RE: Please Be Carefull !!
Well Exotic Breeze is supposedly the most recessive eye at the moment. (a second proof is needed and if the mom has this eye or a starter in her near BGR then this would close it so please, if the owner looks in and this is so could they send a screenshot of the pedigree page to Liriel Garnet)
A very nice breeder too with other good shown and hiddens.
I have no idea at all how many of this eye there are around at present but i can see this fetching 25K at the right auction if it's still pretty rare, it's certainly not an exorbitant price for a new TR trait.
When Ody Bellini first came out one couldn't buy it on ANY kind of cat for less than 50K for a good 3 months.
Anyhow, nice to see someone trying to maintain decent prices, it's healthy for the market and i do wish that those who slash prices too fast just to make sales would become more responsible, to the community as a whole and to their customers who may pay a high price for a new trait only to see it dumped a week later.

I don't get this "second proof is needed" thing. It's either proven, or it's unproven. Are we to surmise than she is taking reports which seem-to-show-but-fail-to-prove and hoping she guessed correctly?

This is true, and indeed dumping prices are bad for all the community.......BUT to pay 50k for a special trait, which just a bunch of pixels and something like 150 EURO, money from which a whole RL family can eat for 2 weeks minimum, is way overdone on my opinion.
It is true, that those breeders who decide to take the starters and breed the new traits out, have to do some investment, and it is more than ok, that they try to get their money back and perhaps make even some plus.
But I have recalculated once, what a kitty should cost to pay the food and milk for the parents, and the rent of the stall to sell the kitties, in short, to keep the breed running. And I came to the result that with an average of 15 boxes per couple and the sale of 10 boxes, because perhaps you send 3 to the menagery and keep two to breed the line out,it should be +- 400 L not looking at the traits. So do you really think that 50k stand in any relation to this? And keep in mind, that we are not talking about 1 box only, when the couple gives the trait, normally it happens more than one time. I think 10k.....perhaps 20k are ok....this is still quite a bit of money for funny cute pixels, but with a bit of patience and saving up some Linden Dollars, one day also affordable to people who have to count on those famous 150 EURO.
But there is a second component in this game! The "new" traits don't stay "new" for more than a few months, because very soon there will be the new starters and the new "new" traits.....what happens then? If the old "new" traits are still expensive, who can afford to buy the new ones?
I suggest to find a way in the middle between exaggeration and dropping the prices down to a total loss of value. Breeding Kittycats should be a joy for ALL, breeders, buyers and sellers, and not end up in stress and economic problems.
And if you have read this until the end, I thank you for your interest and patience

I don't think we need to surmise anything.
If Liri states that she has one proof then thats exactly what she has, and she doesn't "guess" as you well know.
Waiting to confirm with a second hard proof is, i believe, a reasonable security for there to be no doubt possible.
Anyhow you can always check this out with her.

RE: Please Be Carefull !!
A proof is a proof. If you need confirmation, then the first didn't prove it. There's no guesswork, it's extremely simple logic. It's like asking for a second opinion that 2 is greater than 1.

Well there was a time when a new coat was selling for 150K+, so maybe this is why i don't find 50K as astronomic as all that.
I do agree that it's a lot to be spending on pixels though and i've never spent nearly that amount myself.
However there are some breeders who have substantial means, who pay hefty prices without a shrug. As one big spender said to me - well it's far cheaper than doing drugs.
It may seem unfair to those with limited means but it's very necessary to the market economy, if big prices didn't happen then there would be little motivation and no one would be able to even sometimes cover kibble costs.
Many very small breeders have struck gold, i had one friend who only used to open one starter at a time and she got lucky twice.
Also, those who can afford to open 50 or 100 starters won't necessarily break even when they do strike the jackpot.
Anyhow much "ink" has, and will flow on the subject. There's no way of controlling prices and dumping will continue to happen from time to time.
Tad ... you're nit picking again.
If it bothers you that much and you don't understand what i'm getting at then go have it out with Liriel ( if you're man enough that is )
And who knows, i may even be not so right and you not so wrong !

Tad, stop trying to bring logic into this. Since when does logic matter at all.
