Calculating food and milk needs
Trying to figure out how much food or milk you need for your cat and not sure how?
You can use this math formula!
# of bowls x 28 days ÷ # of cats = how many days the food lasts
Example - You have 30 cats a 20 pack of Kibble and want to know how long the food will last.
The formula would look like this: 20 bowls x 28 days ÷ 30 cats = days the food will last.
STEP ONE: multiply 20 bowls by 28 days to equal 560 days. (20 x 28 = 560)
STEP TWO: divide 560 days by 30 cats to equal 18.67 days. (560 ÷ 30 = 18.67)
So, 20 bowls of Kibble will last 30 breeding cats for about 18 and 1/2 days.
NOTE: These calculations are for breeding cats, if you need to calculate for non-breeding
cats multiply the result by 2.
(or you can use this equation - # of bowls x 56 days ÷ # of cats = how many days the food lasts) *doubled the amount of days since non breeding cats' food lasts twice as long)
Hopefully these formulas help you in calculating your food and milk needs.
