Purchasing on SL Marketplace

Personally I like to buy sometimes from MP, have bought some beauties and not so beauties from MP and My very first one was a d elite I thought, and fell in love with him, Ocicat Lavender lol thinking he was 2 prims, what a scream heheh any way it brought the love once I unpacked him, I didn't care if he was 14 prims all up ) ..
And yes I have had three kittyCats not show up in my inventory when buying from MP, and if your dealing with a seller who is not so understanding it's a night mare..
But One seller Savage Rose was wonderful in replying and chasing her cat up to give it to me.Thank You Rose..
It all works out in the end, but can be a disappointment on the buyer's side..
So Now when buying from MP I make sure I am stable in world and ready to catch it at my end, I haven't had any more problems since then but I don't buy often enough to know but it seems to work best for me when buying from MP..

I like MP because it is less hustle and bustle and not so laggy to get around, as I suffer from a bad connection some times..

I enjoy buying and selling kitties on the Marketplace, especially when a sim is being terribly laggy or I am looking for a specific kitty ie Mardi Gras...that I did indeed find on MP just last week! It's brilliant and it makes me happy that our best breeders are there! Shop on!! Cheers!

well it seems something is up with Purchasing on Market Place (MP)
I was in world stable and ready to catch them. Two out of Twelve didn't show up..

This morning trying to chase the ID for the cats has been murder as the pages from MP are no longer available the seller Tell's me she no longer has access to her pages on MP for those cats.. So I am missing about Seven cat ID's .. The cats haven't shown up in Cattery so guy's when Buying from MP make sure to copy and paste each ID for every cat... as now I have a dilemma... (if I can't get the ID number's for these cat's as they haven't shown up in Cattery .....)

The seller should still be able to access the listings from the Manage Listings page unless she actively deleted them. If she did, she can probably start a new listing and use the Quick Fill to copy the info in from each one, one at a time, in order to access it. For some reason, the MP seems to keep the listing info in that search forever. This will copy in all of the text (but not the pictures), so if she had the cat's entire Info in the body of the listing, the ID number should be there.

I've thought about this. I take a screenshot of each pedigree and also copy each cat's info into a Word .doc as I prepare to list them. Those are also still on my system in case I ever need them for reference.

I personally go in as soon as possible after the Magic Box tells me that it has delivered the item to change the title of the listing to say *SOLD* (this helps me later, but has to be done ASAP) and set it as Inactive, so as not to confuse people. But I don't delete the actual listing for days - usually weeks.

I also see the delivery status at this time. So far, I've only had two orders where delivery to the buyer partially failed, and *knock on cyber-wood* neither was my item. Her transaction history should show this under "Status", and then she can open the order from there to see what it shows for the Status of her items.

BTW - I assume that, with so many issues going on, she's already gone in world and checked the contents of her Magic Boxes. Tell her not to put more than 50 items in a box. That's when they start having issues syncing with the MP.

Along those same lines, it seems like the people reporting problems always seem to be buying several cats at one time. I think either the MP or the Magic Boxes may be getting overloaded in processing them.

Based on that, my suggestion would be to: Buy Each Breedable Item In a Separate Transaction.

I have finally received the few boxes I managed not to save last night, lucky for me it
was only four kitties I didn't save ID's for. I bought a dozen, but in three installments.

The seller was kind enough to fish this info out for me as well, in the end..

So it's just waiting now .. lol.. I wanted too unpack some of those babies too

The issue now is showing up in cattery hehehe ... Thank You for the great info on Magic Boxes too.

Sure! I'm trying to do this seller thing right, including knowing as much as I can. I think it's best when both the buyer and seller are happy, and I work hard at it. :-)

WoW just a follow up as to what has happen so far with the Purchasing Secondary Market, KittyCats on (MP) Market Place. Well, This is my story, I got excited and went to town bought a dozen kitties or so in three lots of installments,

I received them, sent them to cattery eager to unpack a few, and couldn't see them... hmmm I waited logged in out and refreshed rebooted and all that jazz still no new kitties hmm so I contacted the seller, told her my Delmar as above,
The Lady did all that she could to help Me, So I opened up the case with support and filled the tickets.

As I waited, the following day I bought Kitties from KittieCats Collection I was very excited sent them through to cattery
they arrived safe n sound and I unpacked them. I also bought another KittyCat from the secondary Market on MP and it was delivered, I sent it off to Cattery I couldn't see it.. hmmm ??

I then thought is it me or what? So I messaged A support team member from kittyCats and asked Sassy what could be wrong, I told her my story and asked is it me or are others having this issue. I really didn't no what was going on..As we chatted in IM I realized something very imported aughhh shame blushes are idiot I am, They were all down burred deep in amongst my own cats marked nearly the same way I mark my own boxes... SHEEESH EMBARRASSING... It dawned on me as we chattered.. I bought one baby gen with olive eyes, knowing I don't own Olive eye's I checked my cattery for eye's and there olive eye's stairs at me. So I forgot they come into cattery the day they are born, here I am looking for New Born Kitten up the top.. eee Blushes Sorry Every one who was involved in this, searching for Kitties that aren't there..

1. So I also learn a valuable lesson,
When buying make sure you save the Description and ID number for the Kitties you buy, as you buy them one at time..
2. Make sure your in world and available. (unavailable may interfere with receiving)
3. And that your stable (either from just logging in or teleporting, Make sure your environment is rezed)

So thank you again all.. and this is my learning experience never Tobe repeated.. I rename the kitties now easier to find..

Dumb question? I thought MP stopped using the magic boxes and started selling from our inventories? That's how I've been selling reg items. Do I need the box to list kitties?

Yes, you still have to use the Magic Boxes for breedables. If you try the other way, the upload to the MP will fail.
