Pedigree Idea
Lack of Sleep & Frustration gave me an idea, I do not know if its possible but here goes.

I have been manually typing up all my cats Pedigree info onto one simple Doc, Every Cat, its parents and offspring to one page. To say its time consuming and really slow is an understatement. Now added I have a friend and we are breeding ours together I also have to add hers. Is it possible that the Pedigree of all cats could be made into a simple page( Listing all cats) here which would update each new kitty born but has the ability to download as a Doc or Zip, so we have all cats on 1 simple Document exportable to Desktop

Thanks AngieBig Grin

RE: Pedigree Idea
Long ago I wrote an exporter to do just that.

A day or two later KittyCatS told me to take it down because 'it violates the rules'.

Is it possible? Sure. It's not that hard. It's easier for KittyCatS to do than for us. But, as near as I can gather, unless KittyCatS finally does it, after YEARS of the feature request being raised, the only method they will allow is for each player to figure it out for themselves.

At present, the easiest way is to select the entire Pedigree page and copy-and-paste it into Excel or OpenOffice Calc. It works, sorta, but it's incomplete because it only shows the visible factors, which, for Specials, is not the dominant trait but the paint-job.

Im not even fussed about visible etc, more to save time trying to sort all the family trees. If it could all be on one page instead of having to open numerous pedigree pages to C&P and then of course having to update every seven-ten days manually is time consuming when my time is precious

RE: Pedigree Idea
I've been using notecards with each cat's info (shown, hiddens, possibles), it's a bit of a headache to keep up with but it makes it easier to set up my pairs to best advantage. My word doc got too confusing for me pretty quickly.

RE: Pedigree Idea
Not sure if this will help but on the pedigree page of each cat is an area to write notes. This is where I put who is hiding what and so forth. I know it's far from perfect but it is handy because it's right there and I don't have to move it anywhere else.

Oh they have been doing this to me already Smile I made a huge map of a4 paper on the floor with all the family trees and who goes where and when and with who and Hubby and boys took great delight in laughing their heads off when I screwed it up for the 4th time
