I don't know if it's still around but it was really nice and less prims if you don't want to go into each kitty and set the link.
Dunno about the others but my version of it should still be up on the Marketplace.

RE: Selling Cats Without Enabled Pedigrees
I'm not "enforcing" it so to speak in my market. I am sending reminder notices to enable the pedigree links but it's really up to the breeder. It does help everyone when they are enabled. It could get you more sales because a lot of people pass over a cat, even if it's close to what they want, if they can't see a full pedigree. At the end of the day you can only educate and give advice, can't force anyone to do anything but I have purchased cats without the link enabled and it said it hid something taht it did not...and i purchased from my own renters. i love to think everyone is correct with their labeling but you can't. Misinformation happens all the time, enabling pedigrees is a way for people to check and see the full pedigree before purchase. You wouldn't buy a car without a test drive would you? I know not the exact same thing but it can only help the market and the sellers.

RE: Selling Cats Without Enabled Pedigrees
I actually think a note card on how to enable pedigrees would be so nice and helpful. It took me close to two hours to figure out how to enable the pedigrees on my own only to find out that they aren't working for me a few days ago no matter what I do so I've gone to the little pedigree prim things for each kittycat which is a pain, but it works.
I do a lot of reading and I'm pretty much learning as I go. I'm most likely learning at a slower pace than most, but I'm really precise.
As I've said I really feel it is up to the seller if they wish to show pedigrees or not. When I'm out looking for a kittycat to breed with my own kittycats yes I do like a pedigree, but when as I've said I'm simply looking for a pet that will get perma-petted...a pedigree doesn't matter for me. It is my personal choice though.
I do this for fun and I breed and sell them for fun. I'm not in it to really make linden otherwise I would of quit a long time ago. I just think they are adorable and it is fun to see if I can actually pull out a series of traits in one kittycat I've been wanting.
I just choose to not take it so seriously. The kittycats I do have that I've perma-petted I love very much and it has nothing to do with their pedigrees.

RE: Selling Cats Without Enabled Pedigrees
Just so that I am clear, I know that it is not possible to force breeders to use pedigrees. I opened this thread, because I thought it was important for all breeders to know how important pedigrees are to everyone, especially when you're selling cats. Thank you for all of the replies to this thread. As you can see, pedigrees are very useful and important to all of us.
(I just wanted to be clear, because I didn't want to sound like a b*tch by saying "everyone open pedigrees." I know it's not possible to force anyone to do anything)

Agreed! I would also never suggest that Market Owners require their tenants do to it, and am not sure why anyone would consider that a possibility. Providing helpful hints like this on a notecard would be a really nice gesture, but I certainly wouldn't expect it either.
Rather, it's important for anyone selling KittyCats to know how to turn on In World Pedigrees, and to understand how doing so is useful and meaningful to customers.
Ultimately, it's the sellers choice and responsibility, but they should understand that whether they do so or not can have an affect on potential buyers.

RE: Selling Cats Without Enabled Pedigrees
I completely agree with you Illuminatra, when Marishka and I had a shop we would enable all the urls for each of the ones we were selling so people could click on it and see their pedigree, we also a RFL Pedigree giver that I used in the shop so people could put the kitties ID number into the giver to find out what the pedigree is.
Many shops and stalls don't have their pedigrees activated and don't have pedigree givers around, so if Marishka and I go into the shops without them we normally leave straight away, because we want to know what we are buying.
Its not enough for shop owners to just say.."It has this trait hidden or hiding that trait" because I have on many occasions looked at a pedigree and thought...no way can that be hiding.

RE: Selling Cats Without Enabled Pedigrees
I confess I haven't takenthe time to read every reply on this thread so I apolgise if I repeat a suggestion I'm sure many have made and thats that there is either a 1 tick box enables all pedigree like there is with the show gender or its automatically enabled on all cats either when they are born or when they are brought inworld, lots of us store in the cattery so maybe if it was enabled as cats were brought inworld via the dock
