Hehe^^ Bea, "It`s famous phrase by Mastercard" ...... with this I try to explain that there are magical things in life, my time with my big love, my family and friends, not exchange for any amount of gold in the world.
My time in Second Life every day is fun, check my farm, I spend time with my new fight pet. I have the experience to prove each pet that come in second life. Kittycats is one of my favorites now, thanks to Vampi that make me fallen here. Our choco bali come for sibling for King of winterland, I put on sell this kitten, I sold their very nice , because it hidde and show beautiful traits, but someday they show me super reccesssive ears.....Odyss BB ( think .... how many time I breed their and test with other siblings of same fur or traits?). I dont put price him (treasure lool) because i wanna breed more, I´ll try repeat again but I need girl to breed more stronger his traits and special his ears. I´ll can buy it, in the market but I don´t want.....I prefer be patience, wait (it is more fun and fustration sometime lool^^ but I know that is there in my bali choco^^
I like that Wendy bali share your Cream Bali or OS Cream Bali, I respect his vision or reasons, I don´t know how much? but I am sure that I ´ll go his store, I feel curious with this special fur and his prices, maybe buy and breed with my Choco Bali^^

Mandred, I can definitely understand and relate to patience in breeding... and wanting to get some traits you know are in your kitties on your own :-)
Thanks for claryfying it, as that wasn't what I understood from your phrase
PS: Hamilton, you know my kitties are your kitties when it comes to breeding....

RE: What to do with unwanted Balinese Cream Lynxes
I think it is wonderful that you are willing to share your good fortune with others. I started breeding KittyCats a little over 4 months ago. I fumbled through it, bought some lower traited kitties (thats all I could afford at the time) and found some good deals on higher traited kitties. I now have 8 and 9T kitties in my cattery that are my line. Which is a sence of accomplishment and I learned alot about breeding doing it that way (I even bred out my own Bali). So what you may consider "duds" will help someone else to start on their dream kitty. And I can't see you selling a few of them off as a detriment to the market.

RE: What to do with unwanted Balinese Cream Lynxes
Hi Wyndy and everyone who replied to this thread!
I'm away in rl and only today i had time to check the forums. I'm very sorry for whatever happened that made you feel like you had any responsibility or that the fact that you wanted to share this new fur with the rest of the KittyCats community was wrong. As deery said before, it's the natural trend of the market and despite the fact that there were very few Balinese Creams around a few months ago it's only expectable to find more and more as time passes by considering this fur is included in new starters bought from the shop and those who were lucky like you to get it in the first place are also breeding them and adding wonderful traits each day that passes by.
Do not feel bad, all the opposite! Feel happy and enjoy the wonderful gift of sharing and of being part of such a wonderful community that KittyCats breeding is and simply ignore those with short minded thoughts that simply go against what we are all here for: FUN!
Much love and happy breeding
Giulia

RE: What to do with unwanted Balinese Cream Lynxes
(08-08-2012 02:10 PM)Wyndy Paine Wrote: You may have heard I am selling off some of my dud balinese cream lynxes and at *relatively low* prices. I have heard there are complaints about this, so to set the record straight, here are my thoughts and why I am doing this.
First, I never thought that kittycats's intention was that a priveleged few should be allowed to monopolize special furs. If it were, I probably wouldn't play. When I found I was lucky to have the first Balinese Cream Lynx on the grid, I felt immediately that I should share it with everyone. I initially wanted to do a random raffle of one of them, so everyone would have an equal chance, but 1) LL prohibits gambling and 2) some people would obviously be able to buy more chances. So i chose an auction, set a reasonable opening bid and let the market decide what they would pay.
Second, the market will not bear prices that high forever. Now that more balinese cream lynxes are out there, the prices is going to come down - that is supply and demand. To expect prices to remain sky high for a prolonged period of time is not reasonable. I need to sell kitties to afford food and pay for rent. People will not pay 30K for a dud kitty with no traits but a fur and boring eyes or tail or ears. These are not kitties I have put alot of money or time or effort into. They will require alot of time, money, and effort by anyone that buys them to turn them intom something marketable.
Thirdly, out of consideration for those who have invested in these kitties, I've made it clear at my stall and tried to in my announcements that this is a limited time offer. I can't afford to birth all these kitties. I dont' want to menagerie them for 20L each (equivalent). I didn't want to give them away in Swappers and Givers, like I usually do, cause that would certainly not be fair. But there are a limited number of bali creams available at these prices and after Sunday they will be sent to the menagerie or put back in my cattery.
Finally, please, it's a game, I want everyone to know I *did* put some thought and consideration into this. I didn't want to upset everyone, but I should be able to sell my kitties at a price I think is fair. Being the first with a balinese cream was a big responsibility, and with two exceptions, this is the first time I've released my kitties. Other Bali cream breeders have had a two month head-start on me and anyone who buys my kitties. So let's try and have fun and share these together!
Hugs,
wyndy paine
Hey don't ever sell yourself short of what you believe and enjoy about breeding your cats Wyndy, you're doing your bit for the Kitty environment in my eyes and most likely in the eyes of other's who also enjoy breeding them.
Good on you for all your efforts of achieving the balinese cream fur...
