Welcome To The Instructional Breeding Project II
Hi everyone!
Back in May 2013, Wendi, Sanura and I launched what we called the “Instructional Breeding Project”, a project designed to help breeders (new and old) understand how to work with a KittyCatS! ™ starter (see the original thread here… http://kittycats.biz/forum/showthread.php?tid=9122 ). Wendi grabbed a starter which she named Poppy, a nice partner for her named Ricky, and provided weekly updates on how every breeding went, showing how to figure out what a starter is hiding, what to do with the resulting kittens/boxes, etc., and I provided a bit of commentary on each week, as well as a few tips here and there Smile. We even got a chance to establish how dominant/ recessive a pretty new fur at the time (Balinese Blue Lynx) was!

Fast-forward to this month… I got to thinking, “starter season is going to begin in a month or so….why not do another Instructional Breeding Project to show all of the new people how to work with the Hallowe’en starters that are just around the corner?” So I discussed my idea with Wendi, and she thought it was a good one. So, without further ado, I’d like to welcome everyone to the the “Instructional Breeding Project II”, or IBP2 as I like to call it for short Wink .
How will this work? Well, it will work in a very similar way to the way the last Instructional Breeding Project did. We’ll be using the same location (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/At.../189/127 … cats to be set up shortly), as well as this thread for updates and discussion (please feel free to ask questions, give feedback, etc. Wink ). A new starter has been picked out, a partner for that that starter is ready to go (more about these 2 kitties in a later post Wink), and so, each week there will new box (or boxes, as the project takes shape) to consider, and analysis of the week’s results, as well as some general education and tips about working with starters. The only real difference with this project (other than different cats being used), is that I will be the one managing the breedings and giving my analysis of things, as opposed to Wendi.

So, everyone, sit back, pull out the popcorn (or kibble, or whatever), and enjoy the ride! Please feel free to post your questions comments here!

I’ll be posting information about starter Arti and her first partner Sydney soon!
