This issue about "new ultra-recessive traits coming out too often" did come up a couple of years ago ... It was an urgent call to slow down so breeders could catch up.
My perception is that KittyCats did respond to that, by having a lot of the new traits be more dominant ones. Soon after I read about this problem, we got Odyssey Burst eyes ... and other traits similarly pretty but not with killer-recessivity. Notice how the Tapestry eyes span the whole range from "quite dominant" to "quite recessive." KC is listening to us
