I sense you're trying to get a point across Noc (other than to correct Giulia), but I'm afraid I can't see it. Maybe you could elaborate on it please?

Not really Bea, there is a lot to remember when it comes to KittyCatS and I was just adding what I remember. Not everyone will come across the other thread where what was discovered/released when is being discussed and was only hoping to prevent confusion.

I got to the point I was almost embarrassed to say anything about a box i got. I felt like if I posted traits into any chat, ppl would feel like I was rubbing it in, or like one person said, I was bragging. So I got to the point I only told one close friend cause I knew they would be excited for me, but didn't want to tell others cause I didn't want them to feel bad or resent me.

Nods... and it's not like you had any control over what you got. I know it can be frustrating to hope for something new and not get it, and also how exciting it is to hope for something new and get it. Its really great when people can share in the excitement and let someone have their 15 minutes, knowing theirs will come someday too.

For the most part this community is so supportive and helpful, that's a big part of the reason why I am still breeding, the rest is the cuteness... can't resist the CUTE.

The Gerbera eyes and Porcelain shade came from the Lazy Daisies. The Eyes in the 2011 RFL were Changing Leaf, Beach Blue, Ice Crystal and Morning Dew. I am thinking it was about a month or so after the release of RFL that I found the Ody Sublime eyes, but am not sure if their release into the gene pool was with the RFLs or not. And there was a twist wtih the 2011 RFLs that the traits introduced in them were not released in the regular staters until several weeks later. There were also several new furs introduced with the RFL that year.

Thanks for clearing that up Blush
I wrote my reply from the top of my head whilst trying to think of other traits that are no longer available from starters and that I haven't been able to find easily in the Secondary Market. I still wonder if those limited edition traits could influence the market in a positive way. I'll leave that consideration to be developed by those with extended knowledge in that area.

I am not consistently hunting new traits, in fact due to my time zone and rl job I can hardly be around when the auctions are held where you normally see the new traits being sold to the higher bidder. My current approach to form new breeding plans is that I breed whatever comes in my starters as hidden if it's one of the furs or eyes I like the most (which are several lol) As I said before I try to breed the starters until I manage to be sure of all the hidden traits which can take several weeks after they are capable of having the first box even more because certain traits might not be present in all starters (like whiskers for instance) and I still can think they simply passed their shown.

Neck, I'm so glad to read stories like yours where you can see positive results as a result of the interaction with KittyCats in it's whole, not only the fun with the breeding process, the do's and don'ts, the familiarity with fantastic people you probably have never seen (not even in pixels) but you can recognize by their kind typing in group chat and the lovely way in which we all have found a common hobby. I think that is what this should be about. To have fun and find the whole process entertaining and delightful Heart Thank you for sharing your story!

Haven't read this whole thread and I know there are plenty of POVs Smile, but just wanted to say how much I like putting 'old' but fav eyes of mine onto newer furs, lol when I can get them anywaysWink I find that fun to do and actually, some of the new new eyes, I don't care for as much as I like some of the old vintage ones!

It really is great when you can share. And it's not even the 15 mins, it's just that when you're breeding comes together you want to scream from the rooftops. lol Well I wanted to.
I'm really happy for you and everyone that got to know that experience. It really is a lot of fun. Smile It's not just about the money. (though it is nice to get that help with the kibble bills lol) It's like opening that christmas present and getting a really awesome surprise!

RE: New Releases Hurting the Breeders
Devilness, let the people keep their envy over your few epic happiness moments, it's theirs. Wink

Don't let it smaller your own fun. Those moments don't happen often so that you can enjoy boasting about something of course. I think it's my damn right to boast about a fur I got new in my catter and not many others have... because I am damn sure it happens like once every year...if...and that's my yearly five seconds of "Hey he's lucky." Smile

...and in the end ....envy, happiness, sadness, joy...what connects these emotions all? KittyCatS! Isn't it for sure SL's best animal that happen to be able to breed? We take pictures, pose with our cats, pose our cats without us, make contests, make better breeds... it is far more than just money... it is more than hunting for new traits. It is that one animal that we ride on a broom with around the sim and laughs because Horses can't fly on a broom like that with you. Big Grin

Now Christmas is close and what are we doing? Taking a guess what does that Chickens and the eggs mean, what does it have to do with the Sheep and the Candy Clause.... Will it be a Candy Cane Kitty? Or a Fluffy Chicken Kitty? What will be new traits? God please let there be new traits... hell let there be no traits... and again it connects us all Smile)))))

AND WE WILL SO ALL RUN AND AT LEAST SEE THEM no matter what. <3

....and I know i will buy them <3

RE: New Releases Hurting the Breeders
Hugzzz to all of you and thank you for reminding me what a great community this is! Heart
And I have to admit I am excited that the christmas kitties will be out soon! All I want is for Santa Server to give me a super cool, super recessive fur that makes me curse the starter like a trucker for a few weeks. Angel hehehehe

Dev, you really should stop worrying about the killjoys and just let them eat their bile. Just shout and jump around with excitement if it happens again and FORGET them, bet theres more peeps than you think would be happy for you.
Perso if i got really lucky, what would creep me out more would be the rush of new "friends" Big Grin
Anyhow, hope you luck in again, it could'nt happen to a nicer, more generous person... except me of course Tongue
