RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness
Unfortunately the Snowshoe Red passed Chat Cat Coffee & Cream so my tests are all a bust unless my Scottish teacup comes through and hides Snowshoe Red, if she does thats proof the British is dominant as well so fingers crossed she co operates next week, that or gives me a Scottish Mega. LOL.

I wonder if we should pair my British girl who Hides Scottish to a SS Red for a 2fer?

Go for it! Increases the chance of coming up with a proof one way or the other.
We are so close to the final placement.

DEFINATELY! And if you need one I have Pascal sat doing nothing since he passed the Chat Cat. He'll be at 100 love again on Tuesday so saves time growing one.

Congrats to Ivy Lane! Smile

Scottish SH B&W has now been proven Dominant to Snowshoe Red...
which means that British SH C&W is also, by default Dominant to Snowshoe Red.

This leaves Aby Fawn as the only fur remaining that we need to test for final placement. Smile

Hap and I are dancing a happy dance!

Mom shows British Shorthair Cream and White and is known to hide Scottish Shorthair Brown and White.

Dad shows Abyssinian Fawn and is known to hide Tonkinese Blue Mink.

The kitten shows Abyssinian Fawn which must come from Dad.
The kitten's hidden fur must therefore be either British Shorthair Cream and White or Scottish Shorthair Brown and White.

This PLACES Scottish Shorthair Brown and White as recessive to Abyssinian Fawn (and British Shorthair Cream and White).

The parents are repartnered and the kitten unboxed to pull the hidden. Which we hope is British Shorthair Cream and White.

Congrats! So excited to see what that test kitten hides. We know it has to be either British or Scottish SH.

*IF* it hides British SH C&W then we will have it placed. Hopefully we'll know in a few weeks. Smile

I had to think about that proof twice before I got it, lol. You're making me think, Reven! That's great! Congrats Reven and Hap on placing Scottie!
