RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness
I just pulled a cute Aby Blue kitten from a test mating with a British Shorthair C&W. Unpacked him and will test mate to see if he hides the British fur or not.
Keeping fingers crossed as this one could really narrow the range. Will keep everyone posted on the results.

RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness
Just thought I'd share the tests I'm about to do.

Tonkinese - Champagne and Balinese Chocolate Lynx, of course if the choc actually hides the British Shorthair it will be placed as that is currently the fur directly above the Lilac that Hap already showed is recessive to the British Smile

I also have some Pandie - Ebony Ivorys that may hide it, not sure as I got both Pandie and British from repeated matings. Will look into those after I have tested these unless its narrowed below Pandie Ebony Ivory before that.

First breed will be next Monday or Tuesday will post results then.

Nice! Yes, if that Bali Choc does hide Brit, it'd be placed. Please do keep us posted! Smile

RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness
Looks to me like there's an error in the Saga chart notations. The main tab ("Fur Dominance Order") says British Shorthair Cream & White dominant to Bengal Black, but the Update History tab says British Shorthair Cream & White dominant to Oci. Black. I think the latter is an error, because Bengal Black was proven earlier in this thread.

Wow, I didn't realize they had an update tab! That is awesome. Now I can double check if I missed something. I'll check with them on the Ocicat Black re Bengal Black-- they get proofs seperate from the forum. A lot of people don't upload their proofs here but send them directly. They just recently received Happy's proof above (post 7-18-16) that British Shorthair C&W is dominant to Balinese Lilac Lynx too.

RE: British Shorthair Cream & White - Recessivness
My Brit x Aby Ruddy pair just dropped a second Aby Blue kitten. It's looking promising on that front... but won't know for sure until I can pull the hidden fur from the first test kitten (that test will drop a box later this week).

Will keep everyone posted if this narrows the range.
