I bought my very first kitty today, took her home and birthed her. Made sure she had food, a nice place to sleep... the whole thing. I played with her for a while, then went to a club to hear a fave DJ. When I got back home, she was gone! Vanished! I looked everywhere... even did an Area Search. Nothing. So, looks like my first experience will be my last experience. So much for those wasted Ls
And yes, I filed a ticket but there are no support personnel online so heaven only knows how long it will take for anyone to respond.
KittyCats is usually pretty fast.. It's a Saturday night however, don't worry. I'm very honest when I say this, but KC has the best support team of all breedables. They are very fast and Kitten Longmeadow never fails when it comes to helping anyone. She helped me move over 100+ cats once, I think you'll be fine. (btw your cat might of just walked off or is hiding somewhere).
hi Starr!!!
do NOT lose heart!!! we WILL get your cat back to you ASAP!!!! usually our "turn around time is 24 hours" but most often than not we are faster. don't worry!!! we WILL get you your cat back!!!! i promise you. if you have ANY problems you can IM me inworld anytime, or any of our staff. we WILL get back to you ok?
please don't worry yourself

I'm new too, but so far I have experienced nothing but awesomeness from the staff and community. I wouldn't worry, you'll get your kitty back soon.
I really appreciate your kind responses. I think it was a sim issue. I have not been on to check, but I think Lucy is back. The estate manager said she saw her. So, hopefully my new baby is safe and sound.
Thank you again, everyone!
Yes by far and large KittyCatS has the best support I have ever received in SL not only in breedables. Many times I have filed my ticket and turned back to SL to find them there ready to help or return a wayward kitteh!
My record is about 3 minutes !
I'd just filed my support ticket, i went back to my viewer window and Kitten Longmeadow had already found my kitty and had sent it.
I was flabbered and she said she was still trying to cut down response time !! LOL.
I don't see how customer service can get any better
Well, unfortunately, my kitty has gone missing again. All I did was go into another room, and when I came back to the living room... gone. I don't know what is going on, but I am gonna just call it one of those "tried it, didn't like it" experiences.
Everyone, have fun with your kitties!
Hi Starr,
There must be an issue on your sim, maybe you could ask the landlord to restart it ?
Also, kittens are small, they do hide or whatever at times, but will 'jump' at their home
position once they fall asleep, so every 4 hours. (Adults every 8 hours).
KittyCatS team ALWAYS retrieve lost kitties, so don't give up, file another ticket and
they'll send your cat back to you.
What could be good in the future is you reduce the range of your cat to the minimum (3 meters)
(left click, animation, set range, custom) or even turn her walk / run off for now until she gets
older & bigger, or turn her walk / run on only when you are with her (left click, animation, deselect walk/run),
that would allow you to still enjoy her moving around when you are there and might avoid the poofing problem.

Hi Starr
Welcome to the KittyCatS community!
I'm sorry to hear you haven't had such a great start with your kitten but as mentioned above KC always retreived kitties for us real fast.
The thing is when the range of a kitty allows it to access the land boundries it will be returned to Lost & Found or to your trashcan.
Having said that I noticed lately SL isn't as reliable to actually find lost items back in Lost & Found.
When your kitty is retreived I can advice, as Nenya said, to set the range of your kitty low enough to avoid this.
I have for example fairly thick (5 meters) invisable prims to make my walls & floor thicker around the area's the kittens walk to avoid them from running away.
Because it seems thin walls they like to walk through, magical really
Also what helps a lot is setting a home position via the dialoge menu for your kitten they will always return to that spot when they are going to sleep.
Should you like the kitties for a longer time you might like to invest in a hud.
Via the Hud you can trace your kitties on the sim TP them to you or to their home location.
I hope this somewhat discouraging first encounter with KittyCatS will not drive you away because honestly kitties are so much fun!
