RE: New magic reef eye
My reply wasn't personal.
None of my comments on pedigrees are personal. It's always about the data.
Also I regard the breeding section of the forum as a place where people who are learning to breed may get some pointers on pedigree reading. So I try to address my comments generally for everyone who might be reading. It doesn't mean that I think that *you* don't know something. It's that somebody might not know something.

It does indeed indicate dom to Grey Matter but unfortunately we can't know from what we see that the Grey Matter is pure, its the result of a double hidden pull and we can't know both its parents hid Grey Matter.
The best way to confirm will be to pull the Grey Matter using a more recessive eye. Unless you have proof both the Greys parents did indeed hide it. Maybe if you shared the pedigree for the Grey Matter Ivy or I can take a look and see for you Smile

I don't own the grey matter's parents. But this is the pedigree

Thanks for sharing the Greys pedigree Aubrey I was hoping the parents would be old enough to rule out Dreamy Oasis hiding but unfortunately they aren't so we can't save you anytime, just have to patiently wait on the cat to be nice and show you the hid Smile Good Luck!

RE: New magic reef eye
We expected this: Magic Reef is dominant to Grey Matter.
People have been using Grey Matter to pull the eye, but we did need an official proof.

I debated putting up a pedigree that would go into Yarima's grandparents, to make it clear that the grandmother Ocean Tiger did hide the Grey Matter so you'd get a better sense of where it came from, but we don't really need it. The bottom line is that we can see that a cat Showing Magic Reef, can hide the Grey Matter and the Dreamy Oasis pulls it out from under the Magic Reef.

Oh yes, that proof is good: Magic Reef is dominant to FlowerChild Orange Skies.
It's your first proof I think nekogao? Congratulations! and welcome to the chart testing community.

Oh that's wonderful! I was testing mines with RockT and now I don't need to test them anymore since that ensures RockT is recessive to Magic Reef. Thank you!

Hello,

Yes, this is my first proof. Glad I could help! I'm having a lot of fun learning from the charts and experimenting.

RE: New magic reef eye
Magic Reef is recessive to FlowerChild - Woodstock.

This places it between FlowerChild - Woodstock and FlowerChild - Orangeskies.
