Chateau Slate & White No. 1 recessiveness
Chateau Slate & White No. 1
Saga's: dominant to Chateau Cream & White No.1 and recessive to Bengal Charcoal

Several people are working on dominance testing on this fur so should have some proofs up soon!

RE: Chateau Slate & White No. 1 recessiveness
Thanks for posting your results, Purringfox! It's exciting to know Slate might be resolved soon.

Pair 1
Mom Serena shows Chat Slat, hid Aussie Blue Marble or more recessive
Dad Penzi show Cream Tabby, hid Abby Black Silver or more recessive
Baby shows Cream Tabby

Looking forward to finding hte baby's hid -- whether Chat Slat hopefully or Aussie Blue Marble (hopefully not, lol)

Pair 2
Mom Museete shows Cream Tabby, hid Black Bengal or more recessive
Dad Eadwyn shows Chat Slat, hid Tonki Champ or more recessive
Baby shows Cream Tabby again
Looking forward to this hid too --- whether Chat Slat hopefully or Tonki Champ (hopefully no but a sweet fur)

RE: Chateau Slate & White No. 1 recessiveness
Very cool! We are super close to placing then! Hopefully one of these kittens will pop their hid fast and it turn out to be Chat Slate. That would be awesome cuz it would place it!

This chart looks pretty conclusive to me

Grandma shows Bengal Tawny
Grandpa shows Chateau Slate & White

Mum shows Chateau slate & White which is her dad's shown fur
Dad shows Bengal snow

Kitten shows Bengal Tawny, which is known to be dominant to Bengal Snow.

Bengal Tawny must therefore be Mum's hidden fur and recessive to Chateau Slate & White no.1

Forum based dominance charts

Tad nailed it!

putting the image inline for you Dreampoetz

you paired Moo Kitty with Slate

and the baby got Moo Kitty shown

Then you paired the Moo Kitty with Aussie Snow -- good choice since it is recessive to Slate

Then it turns out the Slate threw it's hid because your baby has Maine Coon Calico Washed which is recessive to Slate but dominant to Aussie Snow. So you've confirmed the hid on your Max Chat Slate with this baby.
