I have a question, Is it ok to interbreed cats, like mon and son, etc?
Another thing, my husband's cat gave birth to our first kitty, These are its following info:
♂ Jessee
Fur: Chateau Cat - Black & White No. 1
Eyes: Tapestry Harvest (Shape: Curious | Pupil: Big)
Shade: Flair
Tail: Mysterious
Ears: Mysterious
Whiskers: Blonde Streaked (Shape: Dreamy)
Size: 12 cm (4.7 inch) - Teacup
My husband asks, should we keep the kitty to breed or we just sell it?

kitty inbreeding is a common breeding practice. dont worry!

Also, sounds like a super cute kitty! What you feel like breeding or not is up to you. Good luck ward!

Hi ward =) Yes you can do it and it can be an advantage sometimes to do it for getting solid lines in the pedigree and also to make better traits in the offspring by breeding with parents/siblings. Congrats on your new born kitty!! It's a nice kitty to keep and teacups are quite wanted but if you aren't very attached to it, sell it maybes ^.^

Personally I would keep the kitty as seeing its your first you bred and its a teacup to boot with really nice traits. As long as you think its a cute kitty I would differently keep it.

As for the second question interbreeding from what I can tell is not only allowed but encouraged once you learn more about breeding and really get into the nuts and bolts of it. Breeding a cat back to its parents is a wonderful way to pull traits or strengthen them in some cases. Also I throw this around a lot but its what helped me to learn. Interbreeding is common. It's one way to pull a hidden trait out. For each trait (fur, eyes, tail, ears, whisker), there is one shown trait and one hidden trait that each cat has. The more dominant of the shown/hidden traits is the one that shows on the cat. For example, your teacup shows a mysterious tail. That means the hidden tail trait is either mysterious or one of the more recessive traits. There are charts on recessiveness that can help you target what you are trying to show on your next kitty.

As to who establishes dominance, everybody contributes charts to help establish dominance. It is a community effort to find out the dominance of traits whenever Kittycats releases new traits.
