How do you get the jewels? Will one randomly show up on a new box?

Yes, they randomly appear with a new box. The odds are quite low. "None at all" seems like it, but "Once in a Blue Moon" is probably a better approximation.

I really think this 'jewel business' needs to be tweaked.

I've scored two rubies out of 300 something hatches.

And yes, the jewel just appears on top of the box.

I'm sure some super breeders have managed to

git there hands on one of them bling kitteh'

but the rest of us can only imagine what it must be like.

Its easier to get one of those disco le tigres than a jewel cat!

I'm sure those lucky enough to get enough jewels,

would like to remain exclusive,

but pffffffffffffffffffffft to that!

Time for the factory to loosen up the odds,

and let some regular folk join this exclusive club!

I was told that they are extremely rare. I've seen one - a ruby. Surprised me to get one to be honest as it was only my 52nd box.

I have to agree with Winter, the jewels should be made less rare. One in every 300 boxes is just ridiculously superultrarare. Why not one in every 50 boxes? It would still be rare, but getting that pretty kitty suddenly becomes more realistic.

Seems I will have to stop dreaming about ever seeing a jewel, not less ever having fancy cat.

Totally agree, I stopped dreaming and just purchased one because reality is that unless you want to buy off someone the jewels needed you won't see a fancie in this lifetime. Given the rarity you get one and if it's the same one.

So even if you typically see one every couple of months it will be years before you have 10 diamonds/20 rubies/30 emeralds to get the kittycat. That includes trying to trade with someone.
