RE: Half- Off PermaPet 120 Please???

Sounds like the factory would get a nice influx of cash by doing this.

If I was on the board of directors, I would submit this proposal.

We can only bribe Pinion into whispering into Callie Clines ear.

"WITH ALL THE EXTRA MONEY WE CAN BUY MORE SHOES!"

Right now, you tend to perma-pet favorites,

and stuff the rest in your pocket. . . sick!

sounds like a warped concept!

Half price sale might entice you to keep a few more out.

RE: Half- Off PermaPet 120 Please???
Please, please, pleaaaaaase?! I've only splurged one time to buy a perma potion and the rest of the kitties I would love to perma are in my inventory taking up server space and not making any money for KC. You guys would make a bundle from me if there was a perma sale or a batch deal or something of the like, I just can not afford to feed breeders and buy perma potions, no way.

I would hate for people to miss out, either for financial reasons at the time the sale would be present, or just because they are not online due to Real Life.
Therefore I think what would be cool is something like a bulk purchase bonus.
Say 4 for the price of 3 but as a permanent situation.
So everyone can enjoy it.
And maybe a little adjustment on the price in general, eventhough I think it is worth it, it feels indeed like a lot of money.

Honestly, I agree with you 100%. But I also think a pet should become perm after the 121 days. Cause what else do you need to feed it for if you're not breeding? If i'm not breeding I won't want to buy food for it but perming is way too expensive.

It would be nice if there was a sale. Maybe even an annual "discount sale" with a percentage off for a short time.

Lightbulb RE: Half- Off PermaPet 120 Please???
.... and here's why a reduction in price (or sale) for permapetting makes good business sense.

If I want to keep a cat after it's done breeding, I just take it into inventory to permapet later. In actual fact, however, I've permapetted only one KittyCat because it's so expensive. So the permapet price does not offset kibble dollars for KittyCatS owners like me, since I stop buying kibble after 120 days anyhow.

Just a thought Idea for your consideration.

RE: Half- Off PermaPet 120 Please???
How about a totally different approach? Maybe earn credits towards permapet 120+ for each food you buy? or earn credits for each day you feed a cat... that would get me to feed a favorite longer rather than putting it in inventory to get sick and maybe lost. Have the credit be an open one that can be used on any cat or to make it easy maybe have it give K for it so you can add that to the ones you get K for menagering. Just throwing out thoughts... it would reduce the price while encouraging customers to keep feeding kitties and not impact KC bottom line as much ...

RE: Half- Off PermaPet 120 Please???
Hello Everyone!

We appreciate your input and feedback as always, and want to take this opportunity to reply to you again on this topic.

In the past we have replied several times regarding PermaPets™. An important post can be found here http://kittycats.biz/forum/showthread.ph...92#pid3292 if you would like to read it.

The concept of turning a breedable into a pet was introduced to the breedable world by KittyCatS. It was not available before.

We've always thought our cats were "pets that could breed" and more than just a "breedable." Because of that reason, we wanted an option for those who were looking for pets. It is a way for those who want to enjoy our cats without feeding to do so knowing they are getting a great pet (most always bred by our community) AND enjoy service and updates for life for that pet. The option also served those breeders who at some point wanted to keep a special cat as a non-eating/non-breeding pet.

Our vision has not changed much since.

Since we started almost 3 years ago, other breedables have released similar products, sometimes at lower cost, others are higher. Some require "free food", some require other things for their feature to work.

We think, if you compare our whole set of products, we are confident you will also find things which are priced less with us.
Cost to us is only one part of a product. We try to offer much more than that, including functionality, quality, support, and other features many have come to enjoy, like online cattery and updates with no-cost added features.

However, we do understand you are always looking for the best price, and we think the price analogy between the current PermaPet™ product and food for cats is ok.

Our PermaPetS™ continue to receive the updates we make available, as we have shown in the past 2.5 years. As a comparison we would also like to refer to the recently released Firestorm cat. It was a no cost PermaPet™ Kitty, but it will not receive any updates for that reason, and is not transferable either.

We hope this post helps to understand this topic more. We again thank you for your support and enthusiasm about KittyCatS as well as being such a great part of this community.

Respectfully,

Your KittyCatS Team

RE: Half- Off PermaPet 120 Please???
I have read the post tht was included as reference and it does bring up a few good points, however what I think most of us are asking is some kind of break in the price, even if it were just temp as many of us have collected many favorites over the past few years. We want to have them run around with us and to enjoy them but at the current rate of the perma potion it would probably be unreachable for many of us, especially those who are not large breeders. Many of us are on limited RL budgets which in turn affect what we can do in SL. I myself am faced with the very real possibility that most of my fave babies will be in my inventory until who knows when, because to perma them one by one ( or two if lucky ) would just take way too long.
It makes sense to me to have the under 120 day potion cost more since you are kinda getting a break early. But to only have a difference of 300L between the early perma and the natural 120 day perma just seems unfair. As always thank you for keeping us in the loop and taking the time to read our responses. I just hope some good can come out of all this discussion because it is clearly a need in the community.
