I usually just throw it at their head!

Technically you can drag it from your inventory,

and drop it on them somewhere.

Or you can open up an IM window with them,

and drag from your inventory to the chat bar in that IM window.

Or you can drop it on the ground and set the price to zero

and simply let them buy it for free.

But its even better to set the price to $6000

and PRICE GOUGE THEM!

You can give a kitteh or box to anyone the same way you would give them anything else in SL. As long as the cat or box in question is transferable.
