Again
Would it be possible for someone at KittyCatS to go through and check that the pictures for the cats in the /images/ folder actually be there? If they are there, is it possible to make sure that they're in the correct folder? If they're in the correct folder, would it be possible to have the database agree on that name and folder?

Yes, I could post an example. But what I can't do is show all the errors .. and there are several. I don't know what should be where. I've seen others posting similar issues. It seems to me it would be better to go through and audit them all than to play whack-a-mole fixing them if someone happens to both notice and comment.

RE: Again
i can answer the whisker issue Smile

that is due to how each person has their settings in their viewer. to get rid of it, you have to change a setting in your graphics. (you will also notice nicer eyes on your normal cats without an outline around them Smile

here is how you do it on firestorm:

RE: Again
But I am NOT talking bout the viewer. The problem is the web site.

RE: Again
I think it is sad the default setting is different as for how alpha masks are rendering.
Hopefully most people find their way to the optimal viewer settings.
I too thought the whiskers looked awfull before Callie explained a great while ago to me how I needed to adjust my viewer settings to see the boxes and mainly the whiskers as good as possible.
Ofcourse these boxes, as we mainly see them instead of live cats at the market, should be the eyecatchers.

RE: Again
Sure, if you're talking about Second Life.

But you can fiddle with them all day long and it won't help with the missing/incorrect images in on the http://kittycats.biz/

RE: Again
Do you miss images?
I believe missing images should be reported via support right?
At least last time I heard about missing images and how to handle those.

RE: Again
My point is that whack-a-mole maintenance is not the way to go. It would be so easy for someone with access to the SQL database to write a script to check that the file named for the pedigree view page is the same file named for the cattery page, and actually exists under that name in the web-root file system.

RE: Again
Thanks, Callie!!!!!!!!! Smile Whiskers is 2D weren't bothering me but many eyes looked fuzzy and it'd get me frustrated when taking photos of my kitties especially!

I use LLv3 and what I did was uncheck "automatic alpha masks" (deferred and non-deferred, whatever that means) under the develop tab. I'm leaving it like that hoping it's the same. I can't find render glow so just in case I checked hover glow. Eyes looked clear immediately after unchecking alpha masks.

@Tad : I think I must be missing something -all I can find missing on the website is the pictures of Strawberry Bellini eyes and of Genesis tail, and a misspelling of "burst" in the Odyssey Burst eyes caption. I agree that if there indeed are/were lots of things missing the best course of action would be to revise and correct all in one go, but I don't think I'm comprehending the issue as a whole I'm afraid.

Not sure, I only say what they told us to do if images are not displayed correctly.
Isn't this whole online cattery thingy beta still?
This could explain some of it.
Maybe they are to create such script as you mention.
