I think somehow permapetting excessively, meaning large amounts of cats, is discouraged by the price and it seems KC did this purposely.
I have no opinion about that I noticed though this is likely what lays behind it.

RE: Suggestion:24h 50% discount for PERMAPET! What u think? Or drop the price of PERMAPET
Well, I would definitely be excited about a perma-petting discount weekend, maybe for christmas or something? Or even a permanently lowered price. I understand the logic behind having the higher price considering that is a cat that KC will no longer make money (via food/milk) on. However, it seems that the trend for most of us is to just throw the kitty in inventory rather than continue feeding them when they aren't breeding. Then, when and if we can afford it, we pull it out and perma-pet. So, it seems to me that KC really isn't making that much money on non-breeder cats. They would probably make more money, in the end, if we were more likely to buy the perma-pet vitamins. I just want to perma-pet a few of my first kitties and really loved line breeders but with the price that the vitamins are now compared to the amount I need to pay to feed my current breeders, I won't be perma-petting anytime soon....

I haven't permatted any cats yet, and I have no experience with other breedables to say if that's a good price or not, but I think it would be nice if there is a 5 and 10 packs with some discount, maybe 10%.
Like for the 1500 L$ one, the 5 pack would be discounted from 7500 L$ to 6750 L$, I know saving 750 L$ might not seem good but that's half of the single bottle price so still something.
The 10% is just an example, can be more or less.

RE: Suggestion:24h 50% discount for PERMAPET! What u think? Or drop the price of PERMAPET
I recall some permapotion sale some back ... and the planet is still spinning.
Personally I never permapetted a cat because the pricetag just said "no" Someone calculated you can have a pet fed for about 2 years, or something like that, before the food money exceeds that of a potion. That is what I do with my favest cats they just eat on. I keep some in my inventory - the get-well-potion is more affordable (and these cats use server space, too.)
Some ago, I suggested a wider variety of permapet potions, like 250, 500 days that might be more affordable than the 2 varieties one can buy now.
IMO a sale would actually gain KC some more income, due to people like me who would not buy permapet for the full price, and how much money would the regular permapet customers spend at once to have a supply? (And you could limit the amount given to one avi)
Plus the menagerie beasts trigger people to think twice if really keeping a cat. So there is no grounded fear of a million permas blocking the servers for no income.
my three pence

I really like an 24 hr sale off on permapets 120+.
No perm price drops on anything.
Think of those poor granny kitties trapped in the inventory waiting for their potion. Because I have a lot of them. XD

RE: Suggestion:24h 50% discount for PERMAPET! What u think? Or drop the price of PERMAPET
For what it's worth, here's the math, assuming the cat is at 121 days or more: 1 bowl of food = 1 cat/56 days @ L$170, so $L1500/170=8.823bowls for that price, which would feed the cat for Approx 494 days, or about 16 calendar months, or about 70 weeks. So if you keep the cat for more than 70 weeks after permapetting, you're saving food L$. If not, you're better off feeding it
P.S. feeding one cat works out to about USD $0.024 per day for breeders, $0.012/day for non-breeders

I've been looking for that math!
So the permapet option works if you have a kitteh you really like, and want to leave it out all the time, and you plan on being around for another two years.
( Ive been around for eight, so this works for me).
If you dont want to leave it out, you could pocket the thing,
but when you whip it out its going to be tucked under an indian blanket with a thermometer sticking out of its mouth.
Whats the math on the price of an insta-cure for starvation versus feeding it and leaving it running around the house?
Three months or something for the break even?
Suppose you could just leave it lying under that blankee looking all pitiful and $#!t,
but man, I cant be looking at that for a week!!
