Odyssey Cognac Wine recessiveness?
Ok, this is the last of the halloween eyes question on recessiveness (so we can dominance a little better before starting on Crystal Berry and Verdant newest eyes)

Saga's chart says

"Odyssey Cognac Wine is dominant to Mercury - more info please"

so if you have charts on eyes dom to Mercury and Ody Cognac Wine, it would be helpful.

RE: Odyssey Cognac Wine recessiveness?
Update:

Saga's chart now reads:

"Odyssey Cognac Wine is dominant to Bronze - more info please"

so if you have charts on eyes dom to Bronze and Ody Cognac Wine, it would be helpful.

I was looking at Bronze and it's showing in the 2nd column of Saga's chart which means that it is a probable placement but may change. It is showing close to Morning Dew in dominance.

I have a chart proving Odyssey Cognac Wine is dominant to Canary . Since Canary is close to Morning Dew, I thought I'd go ahead and show the proof.

Haille has Odyssey Cognac Wine shown

Haille has Canary hid
Haille's child shows Canary while Dad shows Ody Bell proving Haille has Canary hid

If anyone else has charts showing Ody Cognac Wine in relationship to Morning Dew or more dominant, please post it.

RE: Odyssey Cognac Wine recessiveness?
I have a chart showing Odyssey Cognac Wine is recessive to Odyssey Crush. I am checking to see if it is helpful regarding narrowing recessiveness or not.

Saga chart currently shows

Odyssey Cognac Wine is
dominant to Bronze (around Morning Dew)
recessive to Blue Ice

Odyssey Crush is
dominant to Pewter (Double Dip Flora to Mercury)
dominant to Cognac (double dip Flora to Starry Baby Blues)
recessive to Double Dip Flora

If Ody Crush is proven to be recessive to Double Dip Flora
And this chart proves Odyssey Cognac Wine is recessive to Ody Crush

Then Odyssey Cognac Wine has to be recessive to Double Dip Flora too

This changes the placement of Odyssey Cognac Wine to between Double Dip Flora to Bronze

Also if Odyssey Crush is dominant to Odyssey Cognac Wine
And Odyssey Cognac Wine is proven to be between Double dip Flora to Blue Ice
Then Odyssey Crush can't be recessive to anything after Bronze so Odyssey Crush is also narrowed to between Double Dip Flora to Bronze

Just been having a good look through all the forum threads to update my personal charts and found that since Odyssey Cognac Wine is recessive to Odyssey Crush it must also be recessive to Full Moon since Odyssey Crush is Recessive to Full Moon.
This narrows the test range to between Full Moon and Bronze. Smile

Thanks Arwen, I'll update the eye list

----
2 miinutes later. I had already updated the eye list but hadn't said the same thing in the thread. Duh.

I'm really glad you said it here though because most people will consult the thread rather than the list.

RE: Odyssey Cognac Wine recessiveness?
ok, now there is an actual proof. Doll has been working on this one awhile and had some kids that did not turn out.

So this is a verification that Odyssey Cognac Wine is recessive to Full Moon. Funny cause we were just talking about that.

Mom shows Full Moon
Dad shows Crystal Berry
Baby shows Odyssey Cognac Wine which proves OCW is recessive to Full Moon

The cool thing about tis is tat a couple months ago this wouldn't have worked as a proof but Full Moon and Crystal Berry are among the eyes we've all helped to prove.

How the Odyssey Crush effects

Odyssey Cognac Wine
Saga Chart says:
Under - Odyssey Cognac Wine: dominant to Bronze and recessive to Sunset, also recessive to Double Dip Flora and Odyssey Crush
Now Odyssey Cognac Wine is between Odyssey Crush and Bronze
No change. Still needs to be tested against
Odyssey Cognac Moon, Pewter, Pomegranate

RE: Odyssey Cognac Wine recessiveness?
With the placement of Cognac I noticed that the current spread on Odyssy Cognac Wine has grown
Forum Based Charts now have it as
Recessive to Odyssey Crush (Retired)
Odyssey Cognac Moon (Retired)
Cognac (Retired)
Twilight
Pewter
Morning Dew (Retired)
Pomegranate
Dominant to Bronze

This means 6 eyes to place. Based on grouping maybe a test against Twilight would narrow this. I suspect will place with the other two Cognac Ltd Ed eyes.

RE: Odyssey Cognac Wine recessiveness?
I think Arella is doing twilight plus others. I'm doing the eye versus cognac. And there's another guy up at the Saga site (whom I haven't met), who appears to be testing it versus pewter.

The Pawsable Traits Reference manager and a Chart keeper.
