OMG! It worked. It is moving by itself. So engrossed was I in the board, I didn't notice a glowing light beginning to appear behind me.
Gilly saw the planchette moving so he came to check it out

He thought it was a toy! And swatted the planchette right off the board!

I give Gilly a stern lecture and never noticed that when he hit the planchette, the ghostly light behind me disappeared.
