RE: Summer...
I don't change anything either and my stores stay as they are normally, and I don't menagerie any cats due to anything. I just accept that since less people are around, sales may be slower for this. I would suggest that if people are having to menagerie many cats in order to survive, then their business model is what is not sustainable... things don't have to change in order to accommodate this. It is always going to hit bigger breeders harder when things go quieter, but this is part of the "game" of choosing to breed so many cats. One cannot realistically expect to be doing this constantly. The market really does not need flooding with traits constantly either and it would do few of us any benefit if it were. The break does give people an opportunity to sell cats that maybe did not sell so great earlier in the year and I know of quite a few smaller breeders who actually sell more cats at this time of year, I would suggest because of the pause in the outflux of the new traits. So they get more of a chance to sell in such periods, which I think is wonderful. It is more of a level playing field for them without so many buyers choosing to buy what is new, simply because there is a pause in what is new
Or it may be for some, a time to look at all the great traits that have come out, recently and from long ago, and work with them. Personally, I do appreciate this pause in the calendar and if the market was continually being directed to new traits, I would not enjoy that at all
I love to be able to spend less time here generally over summer and a break from new cats/traits altogether is fantastic. There is just no real need to fix a system that works very well for the majority of people, is well timed and there are plenty of other things to do in RL and SL aside from the cats. Having the break actually makes me more excited for the collections such as those at Halloween
