RE: Please Be Carefull !!

When Ody Bellini first came out one couldn't buy it on ANY kind of cat for less than 50K for a good 3 months.
Anyhow, nice to see someone trying to maintain decent prices, it's healthy for the market and i do wish that those who slash prices too fast just to make sales would become more responsible, to the community as a whole and to their customers who may pay a high price for a new trait only to see it dumped a week later.
This is true, and indeed dumping prices are bad for all the community.......BUT to pay 50k for a special trait, which just a bunch of pixels and something like 150 EURO, money from which a whole RL family can eat for 2 weeks minimum, is way overdone on my opinion.
It is true, that those breeders who decide to take the starters and breed the new traits out, have to do some investment, and it is more than ok, that they try to get their money back and perhaps make even some plus.
But I have recalculated once, what a kitty should cost to pay the food and milk for the parents, and the rent of the stall to sell the kitties, in short, to keep the breed running. And I came to the result that with an average of 15 boxes per couple and the sale of 10 boxes, because perhaps you send 3 to the menagery and keep two to breed the line out,it should be +- 400 L not looking at the traits. So do you really think that 50k stand in any relation to this? And keep in mind, that we are not talking about 1 box only, when the couple gives the trait, normally it happens more than one time. I think 10k.....perhaps 20k are ok....this is still quite a bit of money for funny cute pixels, but with a bit of patience and saving up some Linden Dollars, one day also affordable to people who have to count on those famous 150 EURO.
But there is a second component in this game! The "new" traits don't stay "new" for more than a few months, because very soon there will be the new starters and the new "new" traits.....what happens then? If the old "new" traits are still expensive, who can afford to buy the new ones?
I suggest to find a way in the middle between exaggeration and dropping the prices down to a total loss of value. Breeding Kittycats should be a joy for ALL, breeders, buyers and sellers, and not end up in stress and economic problems.
And if you have read this until the end, I thank you for your interest and patience
Hugs
