I'm really glad you're keeping your group.
I'm not exactly sure how google docs works, but forums and groups are the best ways to get word out to people where your doc, so forth can be found.
Flicker is another good way to get your kitties noticed also, and to get your location out there. And what I love best about it is it's lazy.
