RE: SHARE HOW YOU FOUND KITTYCATS HERE
When building my in-world store for q-bee back in 2011, I felt like I needed something a bit more entertaining than the monotony of friends just porting in and out to check on my building progress and thought that having a little pet that walked around and had animations would be ideal and make building more interesting at the very least.

Previously, I had seen on a Japanese sim behind their own in-world store that they had several kitten boxes (not for sale) in their own personal cattery and was intrigued from the get-go just by the names of the traits in the hover text over the boxes. I hadn't had much interest in breedables because I wasn't a fan of Meeroos which Ethereal had introduced me to earlier - it was the only breedable I knew of back then, the whole Meeroo 'game play' wasn't for me and honestly I had no intention of breeding whatever kitty I may adopt in KittyCatS initially, I merely wanted a kitty to roam around.

I then searched for KittyCatS sims to view what these un-boxed kitties may look like as I'm partial to kitties - RL-wise, I grew up with a cream tabby manx kitty and a seal point ragdoll, and that compelled me to adopt my own cat in SL versus any other type of SL pet available at the time. Essentially, I wanted to adopt one kitty that could 'keep me company' while building my store and walk around in the garden. Tongue And that's how I obtained Pomegranate (shown below), my first cat! That's Ethereal next to me who also fell in love with the pink cat and had to get one too. (Copycat! LOL)

I don't think I would have partaken in this community at all if it wasn't for KittyCatS having a pinky kitty, just the thought of having a fantasy color kitty wandering my store was so enticing in itself and suited my store so well! There's really a type of kitty for everyone in KittyCatS and I fell so in love with the prospect of a pink kitty. I had so many customers who ported in and fell in love with Pomegranate, he was the one who started it all! I still loyally breed his pink & white line.

Then I decided to adopt a siamese seal, a toy, named Miso. And I've always been partial to toys because they visually look best with my avatar's proportions, so my two little boys Miso and Pomegranate ran the q-bee in-world store, often hanging out at my prim register when not napping on the chairs, LOL It wasn't until the Skelecats, which I randomly stumbled upon while perusing the marketplace and purchased one, did I really get into KittyCatS as a community and as a breedable when a random customer IMed me and said "Hey, you know you can breed that lime skelecat, it could give you something new and exciting that no one has seen before!" and that curiosity alone lead me to where I am now. Smile

KittyCatS has helped me overcome the sadness from losing my two cats many years ago, I didn't think I could ever come to terms with it and have another cat in my RL, losing both of them broke my heart so much but KittyCatS helped me embrace cats again. RL-wise since joining KittyCatS, I've adopted a Balinese Seal Lynx girl named Kamila and I so adore her, she's my shadow no matter where I go! She's a silly, lively kitty who loves to sit in my lap and mew when Sanura asks for her mew chorus for the Siamese song during her auctions, LOL, she's about as absent-minded as a kitty can come with no situational awareness and crosses her paws like a lady at any chance she gets to make up for her clumsy actions, she also plays fetch just as a dog would and takes pride in trotting back to me with the ball in her mouth, like our in-world kitties. KittyCatS, through featuring actual breeds blended with gorgeous fantasy furs, has piqued my interest in researching the different breeds discovered and I fell so in love with the Balinese in its mannerisms, and I'm so grateful to have Kamila in my life thanks to KittyCatS introducing me to the Balinese and helping me overcome my previous loss.

I've had nothing but positive experiences since joining this community and partaking in this breedable as a whole and to think it's all because I wanted a cute pink kitty to roam my in-world shop for aesthetics and to cure building boredom makes me smile. That was so long ago but still, here I am, and it's so amazing to see how this community has flourished and how many familiar faces there are even from back then!
