When you look at that disappointing box every week, and you're ready to send that starter off to play with tiger kitties. Look at it's cute lil face looking up all innocent. (ignore the fact that it just stuck it's tongue out at you) And give it another week.

Amen!

By the way I think every dom fur from a starter is valuable as well lately as so many recessive has been released we need a proper dom as a point of reference and we can't get it as pure as straight from the starter.
When they revealed their fur I like to find a suitable partner to hide the fur behind just so I have a pure one hidden.

AMEN!!!!! ME TOO!
They also help with backing down breeds. Especially if you have a pure genesis fur. I'm finding that with all the 'recessive' kitties on the market that most of the fur's I want is hiding something more recessive I don't like.... Wink

So I have started using some of those that are either pure genesis or one that is hiding a really dominant fur and pairing them (several times) with my babies in the hopes that when they throw their fur, it's the one shown. So I can have that fur as my hidden one. Then I name the box {Hopefull} - NameFur & Eye or {Possible} - Name of Hope/Hidden as the box name. Then at a later date wallah I can birth the box and have a new starter kitty to find out which one is hiding.

"You're just jealous because the kitties only talk to me."
