First off, the system messages lag - badly. You need to check the hunger stat on the actual cat. Your cat may be eating now. If your cat reached the point when they were sick, the cat will have a one-week recovery period under the blanket eating normally. If you want your cat to be recovered immediately, the store sells a Get Well potion. If you only have the one cat and aren't doing breeding you may want to consider a Permapet potion which will heal the cat instantly and make it not need food. There are 2 permapet potions based on the age of the cat.
