Suggestion: UID in Parent Info / Lineage Tracking

Has there been any updates related to this? It's been a month or so.

While a website with full pedigree information would be great, a stop-gap (that could form part of an API) would be two web services that, given a cat's ID, return the parents' IDs and return the cat's genetic traits.

As Kristoffer mentioned, tracking lineage is really important and an API (as opposed to a full website) would hopefully make this feature available more quickly.
