Suggestion: Being able to get menagerie cats retrieved

I will spare you my own story about the sadness I feel: I lost 2 dear kitties for good.
But I'm sure we all were once new and brought cats to menagerie we whole heartedly regret or we pushed the wrong button and the cat is gone and nothing can be done about that.
I know KittyCatS are a breedable and for every lost cat we can get an other cat back but KittyCatS are emotional creatures as well for some of us.
We can really get emotionally attached to a kitty and I think this is a compliment to the designers.
Having said that I would so love an option to be able to undo a mistake or something done out of being new to the kitties.
I like to suggest here and I can't picture completely how this should work, with menagerie dollars or Lindens to be able to get our beloved kitties back.
I'm well aware of the fact people can abuse a request to get a kitty replaced in example when they learn they have menageried a gold mine of specials which now a days can bring good bucks still I feel if nothing else there should be a possibility at the owners discretion to replace a kitty.
Making such cute animals includes perhaps the responsibility to acknowledge many see them as more than pixels beings.
This would complete the picture of pets which can breed because this is exactly how I at least think about them.
This can be told by the fact I own many permapets, not specials just normal cats, which have from a breedable perspective considering traits no value at all (anymore) but I love them dearly.
For my sensibilities I consider lack of a proper solution a very urgent matter if not a show stopper.

P.s. My permapets really don't need a menagerie button!
