perhaps it's not clear how this works.
if there are 10 participants, the person who had the most community votes would get a score of 10 which is the MOST they can get. they are ranked highest with a score of 10.
the second highest would get a ranking of 9 or second highest.
3rd highest ranking of 8 and so forth.
then same with the panel.
top panel score gets ranked at 10
next highest votes from panel gets a 9
and so on...
so a top community vote of 10 and a 6 ranking from panel would get a score of 16 total.
A person who got ranked 7th most from the panel may have gotten 3 from the community so there score would be 10
as you can see, this really does leave it very fair as all the votes from each group are treated equally. it's more a placement that amount of votes. perhaps that explains it better?
