Suggestion: Being able to get menagerie cats retrieved

RE: Suggestion: Being able to get menagerie cats retrieved
I think it would be nice if there was say a 24 hour hold on menagerie..say the cat goes in a 'waiting room' that would be accessed online. If we do nothing, it would automatically move to menagerie in 24 hours..but on that page that I would see as similar to the 'cat to SL' page, you could click the cat..pay back the $k and retrieve the kitty. That would be feasible to set up I think, would not require a ticket to be filed and solve some serious hearache.

I clicked on each one and noticed they were cats I had menageried so long ago, I'm not even sure I had menageried them on that same sim. So maybe it's not impossible to retrieve cats from the menagerie? Perhaps there's other reasons as to why they don't wish to retrieve kitties from the menagerie.

I'd like to say I re-menageried or deleted the others that had fallen thinking it was some error but I don't recall what I did, I was just shocked at the whole incident and excited to keep some of these kitties I regretted menagering. I kept Pidgeon and Pidgeon's Fortune, both were menageried months before - I was so glad to see them because I had missed my Burmese Blues. I cured both of them too without issue and when I let others own these kitties to see that it wasn't just a glitch but kitties that actually came back from the menagerie somehow, it too said menagerie on the pedigree for them as it does for me:

Pidgeon's Fortune lives happily in my cattery at the moment. Smile She also walks around, chases butterflies, catnaps, and does everything in-world like a normal kitty would and has no issues, she eats food too and seems to have all of her "data" there despite having been menageried.

...And that's how I became known as the kitty necromancer.

ROFL!
I wish we can call some kitties from the sky sometimes but this must be a random situation LOL
I was told they have no backup server for menageried kitties ...
Hmm,... they clearly have and it is quite a random one as well Big Grin
So cool you have you beloved blue's back!

awww I had a kitty back from menagerie too after a sim rollback but it wasn't clickable as I remember, so no menus, I freaked out like it was a Zombie Big Grin, I think I asked in group chat and a CSR or maybe Kitten told me to delete it normally like any object and I did that.

LOL, yes! I'm overjoyed to have them!

I posted this story because someone earlier had said something about the "full data" for a cat not being available once menageried but I have those two cats that were menageried months before and randomly showed up on my sim (not a sim rollback or anything either, not sure what happened - they had been menageried ages and ages ago) and their pedigrees show their offspring just fine, they function like normal cats, you can play ball with them, and whatnot so hopefully that can shed a bit of light on menagerie kitties.

So unless I'm misunderstanding what was meant by "data" earlier I think menagerie kitties can be fully retrieved without issue (and I guess they come back as sick?) but still say "Menagerie" on the pedigree page even after returning from their menagerie trip which may be the issue with restoring them. Smile

RE: Suggestion: Being able to get menagerie cats retrieved
Thank you so much for the 1.29 update I bet this is a huge relief concerning this topic for many Smile
Even cats we brought to menagerie long ago we can get retreived on a limited time base, that is truely amazing!
I have 7 cats in mind I sure hope this fits the amount we can get retreived.

Hooray for this, no more getting frustrated about being tired and accidentally hitting menagerie on my prized kitty instead of her box!

yes Thanks KC Team for this update, I haven't sent a cat to menagerie by mistake yet but I'm always afraid to do, so now I can relax Smile and I'm happy that many will get back their kitties sent by mistake Smile.

RE: Suggestion: Being able to get menagerie cats retrieved
honestly we need a permapet option button on kitties.....the potions I hate to say are to pricey I spend enough on feeding alone. Being able to get back a menagerie is all good and well as I have accidently sent off the wrong kitty before...but then what... we have to buy a potion 1500-1800L. It's a hard choice to make when you have to feed kitties too. Its another thought.Wink
