Lament of the Cream Tabby (sing to Memory from Cats)
Midnight...
Not a sound at the bid boards
has my fur lost its value
I am going unsold
At the love shack
the pedigrees collect at my feet
of the cats
that found new homes
Memory
All alone on a bid board
I can dream of the old days
You thought me beautiful then
I remember
the time I caused a bid war
let the memory
live again
Every market seems to sigh
a fatalistic warning
someone mutters as the roll back stutters
and soon it will be updates
Daylight
I must wait for the bidders
I must think of a new life
and a way to fit in
When new traits show
then I will be a memory too
and a new breed will begin
Burnt out ends
of retired traits
the stale cold smell
of a no sale
A panel light dies
another auction's over
A new collection cat is coming
Breed me
its so easy to keep me
if you breed in some new traits
then my value will hold
If you keep me
you'll understand what happiness is
Look
a new trait has been
Found.....ooooooooohhhh

This is the thing that really depresses me when it comes to KittyCatS, some furs just aren't appreciated and I feel for the lonely and unwanted.

I know! and *that* is why I can't go to auctions, I hate to see a pretty kitty who's not "on trend" go home feeling unwanted!

There are so many breeds that people just don't seem to love and desire as much as others. It is quite sad to watch.

All your cream tabbies love all of you. They want you to be happy. They're all hoping you will send them to The Menagerie, where they get to play with other kitties all day while at the same time they know they are contributing to that Tiger you've been wanting!

here's the upside...
each person loves SOME BREED.... AND... it's normal for our tastes to change, and be different
i don't think the cats take it personal
they KNOW you would keep them ALL if you could... and they understand that some love apples, some oranges and THEY want YOU to be Happy!!!!so don't fret or worry... someone loves a fur you may not like that much just like some people LOVE LOVE LOVE onions and others (like me) don't!!!
ok maybe that's a bad analogy, but it's OK to have your favorites AND... change your minds!!!
(personally i go back and forth an appreciate different "traits" at different times.
