For this proof, you'll need to look up a post or two to BeadnStone's kitten that was recessive to Pewter pulled directly from starters. That cat is New Growth PURE. The starter threw it twice and it hid under the Pewter from the other starter. The grandkitten came out from under the pewter and can have no other traits than the New Growth shown and hidden. This kitten has been renamed TrewNew Growth. I have bred TrewNew with a Destiny Waters cat. NewGrowth<DestinyWaters The Destiny Waters shows; there can be no hidden except the New Growth. On the charts this leaves a bunch of eyes all clumped up in the same area but we'll get through them all. For this proof we again use the cat TrewNew Growth who has been shown above in the thread to be PURE. TrewNew HAD to throw her New Growth because it is both shown and hidden. It is Remy BrownPanda's hidden eye under the Ody Bellini. One might have thought that would be Magic Reef, but it is a lurking hidden from further up the pedigree line with Asia Toffee. Here we have 2 cats with Genesis Aqua eyes. They do the ever-so-useful double hidden eye throw. We end up with New Growth shown and another eye hidden/recessive. NewGrowth>BrushedSteel When mated with a Deep Dive cat Lisha, this pulls the hidden eye out from under the shown New Growth. That hidden eye is Brushed Steel. So the fact that the kitten shows Magic Kiss - it covers the New Growth, means that the New Growth is recessive. This leaves only 2 more eyes in the range: Aubergine and Ody Tuscan Dream.
