Mute Option - Tad Carlucci - 05-28-2012 09:12 PM How do I Mute the Cattery? We *know* there is no food there, that's what we want. So how do we have the Cattery stop confirming that, sure enough, there is no food there. RE: Mute Option - Bea Shamrock - 06-02-2012 05:50 AM There is food in my Cattery. Your Cattery speaks to you? What am I missing? RE: Mute Option - Tad Carlucci - 06-02-2012 08:52 AM We have an ALT holding elderly living cats we'll offer for sale in a year or two. There's no reason to feed those cats until a week before we decide to offer them for sale. We used to keep them in a box in inventory, but that can be lost and, after a while, not only will we need to update them but the then-current update may not be able to update them. The cattery offers a no-risk-of-loss storage solution without the problems involved with updating ancient specimens. We could run over to KC main store and mute the prim, but that only works when you're logged in. The ALT rarely logs in, so that's not an option for us. The official response to this question was "don't use the cattery"; which is unacceptable and I'd have expected better from KittyCatS. RE: Mute Option - Callie Cline - 06-02-2012 12:38 PM hi tad, there is not a mute option. i'm sorry for your frustration. i can't imagine us ever answering "don't use the cattery" to a simple question of "is it possible to mute the food message?" I can see us perhaps saying "that option is not available", or perhaps if it's frustrating to offer a solution of storing them in sl if the food reminder messages are causing you frustration. feel free to IM me inworld if you wish to talk about this further. thanks! RE: Mute Option - Tad Carlucci - 06-02-2012 02:30 PM No, I'm fine. If you want to see the response for yourself, check the CSR tickets. What I'd hoped for is something more like "Thank you, I'll pass your problem along," since I'm well aware it would take some programming and might not be a high priority. |
