I just got my first cat, it gets stuck under the floor a lot, I set it's home but that didn't seem to help, also, I couldn't find in the manual how to change his name.

Hi & welcome.
To change the cat's name : touch the cat, text, set name.
To avoid it falling through the floor : rez a prim that you leave default thickness (0.5m), stretch it so it's as large as the floor of the house, you have to set this prim so it's just at the same level as your floor, then make it transparent so you can't see it anymore.
