This wish shows up once in awhile and I wish it would happen as well.
Alas it seems like KittyCatS Inc would rather have you show up at their
one and only store and have to walk by the latest collectables to get
to the food and milk aisle.
Kinda like your local grocery store that makes you go by the chip aisle
to get to the milk in the back of the store!
You go in for kibbles and milk and walk out with two unicorn cats!

You can teleport directly to the food section, or any section for that matter.
So no, it's not about you coming to the store, but to protect you from copybotters or fraudsters.

I think the issue with transferable food would be some less than ethical people re-selling the food at their own store location at a profit.
It is far less problematic to keep the food as non-transferable, and in one location at the main KC store.
If you want to gift food to others, you can simply purchase a kittycats gift card. It's simple to do and the packaging is adorable.

What difference would that make? They may charge more than the main store,
but why would shoppers buy it there?
KittyCatS could sell wholesale cat chow to the cat stores.
So customers can buy a cat AND the kibbles in the same location.
