Hard Boiled Bunny prices ? - ShelleySerenity Resident - 05-25-2015 04:17 PM

Hi Everyone,
I'm a total novice when it comes to the prices that are assigned to the KittyCats. I've been reading the posts here, and going around to a lot of in-world shops and checking in the Marketplace. I'm starting to get a feel for why cats are priced as they are. However, I just ran into a new wrinkle: the collectibles. I have a Hard Boiled Bunny with the traits shown below. I've seen the Hard-Boiled Bunnies priced anywhere from $900 to $8000 (and I'm sure there are some even less expensive). When I want to sell or trade mine, how do I know its worth ? I know it's not going to be an "absolute" price, but that's quite a wide range. I'm assuming that it might be based on the recessive traits just like any "normal" cat, but the average prices seem higher for the Hard Boiled Bunnies than for regular cats. (Looks like mostly Genesis traits to me, so I'm guessing it will be on the lower end of the price range?)

Hard Boiled Bunny - Crazy Blue Dots
Fur: Genesis - Coco V
Eyes: Beach Blue (Curious|Big)
Shade: Natural
Tail: Curious
Ears: Genesis
Whiskers: Silver (Guitar)
Size: Normal

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, as I know I have a LOT to learn.

Thank you,
Shelley

Precision tuning your collectable pricing model often requires
a crystal ball with a witch looking into it.

But based on casual observation of the marketplace...

Upon the first release of a special edition,
the market is flooded with a bunch of discount mews,
as the seekers of sizes buy a bunch to look for mega's,
and liquidate their closets full of normal sizes.

Later as supply diminishes, the prices start crawling up,
and when you get to the point where you dont see em anymore,
the price spikes dramatically.

I sold quite a few hardboiled for a nominal price increase over retail.
And more recently cleared out the closet of some more at L2500,
including a hardboiled teacup that went for 5K!
Would I have sold em all if they were priced at L1000 each?
Easy.

My remaining supply has been marked up to ludicrous levels,
but when a cat fan comes in,
with a 20 dollar bill from a birthday card from grandma,
sometimes they will blow some cash trying to get the
collectable kitteh they missed the first time around.

Welcome to the community and success in your endeavors!
