Retired Type can i still breed from it? - Helene Sautereau - 01-19-2015 08:55 AM

I am very new at this and got an American Shorthair Silver/White tabby and didn't realise that one had been retired.
Does that mean i can't use her for breeding?

Thank u for your help

Very very new to all this

Yes you can use it for breeding and it can pass.

Retired means that that fur will not be found in any starter or specials after the day it was retired.

So now the only way to get that fur is from a kitty that already had it and passed it on to their descendents

Hope that helps
