Inworldz - Song Indigo - 10-06-2014 03:38 AM Hi, I'd like to know if KC are thinking about moving over to Inworldz? I'm over SL and the exorbitant prices charged there for land. Well, that's another topic entirely. The only thing keeping me logging in are my beautiful virtual kitties. Please set up a business in Inworldz so I can go there and be a lot happier spending my bucks! RE: Inworldz - jwenting Resident - 10-06-2014 10:16 AM hopefully not. Inworldz is terrible. No people, nothing there except empty cheap land. If you want your experience to be like SL was 10 years ago, be my guest. But don't come here to try to lure people to go there, it's an old trick that's been used by inworldz employees too often and people no longer fall for it. RE: Inworldz - Song Indigo - 10-06-2014 01:14 PM Excuse me. I'm not an employee of Inworldz. You're damn rude, whoever you are! This is a polite request to see my favorite breedable creators in another virtual platform that I utilize. It makes sense to me, there's hardly any breedable creators in there, last time I was in there, there were maybe two. KC could make a killing, besides bringing in one of SL's most advanced and popular breedables. Inworldz is not as advanced as SL...yet. Like SL in the early days, it has growing and teething problems, but overall it has a lot of potential. It's making great strides, and best of all, I'm not forcing my grandmother to beg on the streets every month just to afford land tiers in there! People are a helluva lot nicer in there, too. Frankly, it's people just like you who are putting me off using SL...rude, filled with assumptions, and generally ignorant. But have a nice day, hun. Oh, and another thing, I didn't come on here to debate the merits and flaws of SL OR Inworldz. If you want to debate that, open your own thread. I could care less what people think about another virtual platform that I use. What matters to me is what I think - that's a good philosophy to live life by, in general. Now, back to my original intent...PLEASEEEE CALLIE, think about going over to Inworldz, or at least ping here if/when you ever decide to go over there. And I hope you consider it. You'd have lots more devoted fans if you did! Song RE: Inworldz - Vampiva Belfire - 10-06-2014 02:47 PM (10-06-2014 03:38 AM)Song Indigo Wrote: Hi, Hiya! Song, I wish you lucky in your dreams (KittyCats! Inworldz) , for example I would like KittyCatS! in fb. I was breed Strangelings there RE: Inworldz - Song Indigo - 10-06-2014 04:46 PM (10-06-2014 02:47 PM)Vampiva Belfire Wrote:(10-06-2014 03:38 AM)Song Indigo Wrote: Hi, Oh, nice Vampiva! Thank you. I don't know what Strangelings are, but they sound interesting. KC's on FB would be cute. RE: Inworldz - Tad Carlucci - 10-06-2014 10:31 PM My short answer: "Gods, let's hope not!" Longer answer: From what I've read there are a number of technical issues with Inworldz which are only magnified by attempting to create a product on both worlds. The second-easiest solution would be two separate product lines, sharing a common name, but in no way otherwise connected. That would mean FOUR breeding systems instead of the present TWO, TWO "motherships" (this site and the MySQL database which handles the cats). TWO support organizations. Etc. The desired solution, of course, would be the Cattery and Pedigree be shared. But that presents a number of complex design issues. For example: how would the system ensure exactly ONE copy of a cat exists? Consider sending cat to the Cattery from Second Life, pulling it onto Inworldz with a Dock there, then returning to Second Life and filing a Lost Cat Support Ticket. Then there's the issue of converting money from one system to the other. And that's complicated by the flaky monetary system on Inworldz where, often, as I understand it based upon web comments, one often must relog simply to see the results of a payment or receipt. That leaves the easiest solution: don't bother. Which would be my recommendation. RE: Inworldz - jwenting Resident - 10-07-2014 10:14 AM (10-06-2014 01:14 PM)Song Indigo Wrote: Excuse me. And it's not just inworldz, and not just sl. It happens on the community forums of any successful online game/platform that you'll see competitors and their fans try to badmouth that platform and hail the praises of theirs. Nothing rude, just a statement of fact. RE: Inworldz - Song Indigo - 10-11-2014 03:56 AM (10-06-2014 10:31 PM)Tad Carlucci Wrote: My short answer: "Gods, let's hope not!" Thanks for replying. Do you often make sweeping presumptions about people you think you "know" on the net? Yeah, good luck with that. RE: Inworldz - GothBimboElvira Resident - 10-13-2014 09:09 PM I think if KC had Inworldz they would need a 2nd web site would be bad to be in SL asking for kitties on her and get a reply from someone from Inworldz. would not work on buying selling world to world. unless you could move your kitties from SL to Inworldz with this web site. |
