I think that the Orange Menagerie bottle that will allow you to bring back up to 3 kitties from the past is wonderful.
The only thing about it is that it will only bring kitties back that are older than the date it was introduced. My wife menageried a Snowflake Temptest around February 2013 and is now regretting it awfully, so we tried the bottle to get Lady Amethyst back, but she had been menageried after the bottle had been released.
Is there anyway you can do as an upgrade to the bottle, a date change and make it work from say December 2013 backwards as the Blue bottle handles the current kitties?
I hope you can do the upgrade

I agree this sounds not fair to newer users.
I remember I was new and I have menageried an awful lot of wonderful specials just because I didn't know any better.
Obviously it took me more than one week, the time we can get our cats back via the regular Menagerie Bottle, to realize I should have not done that and to want it back.
This has my sympathy vote.

Retrievin cats from the menagerie was not always possible.
The Miracle (orange) mengerie bottles are around to allow the retrieval of cats sent to the menagerie before the Magic (blue) menagerie bottle existed.

The point it, this leaves a widening gap between the two bottles.
At some point, probably already, you will have TWO classes of users. Those who were players PRIOR to the bottles, and who can retrieve cats; and those who started playing AFTER the bottles became available, for whom cats cannot be retrieved.
If it is your intention to create this new, under-privileged class of users, that's fine. But admit you're doing so.
The point of this thread is to suggest that you CEASE creating the new, under-privileged class of users, and treat everyone equally.

Exactly older users perhaps retreived their first cat and first special with more insight than they had when they were new while current users, regardless the availability of the regular menagerie bottle, likely are to face the same regrets as we older users used to have and want to make use of the magic orange menagerie bottle as well.
One week isn't that long for a new user to realize they shouldn't have menageried certain cats and regret that.
Totally besides the topic I hope, maybe ones per year during KC's birthday for example, we are all allowed to retreive an older kitty again that would really be a joyful event.
I for one had a tough time to choose
